This project tries to replicate the Microsoft Windows 3.1 operating system environment, released in 1992. Windows 3.1 is an extention to the already-major update of Windows 3.0. While Windows 3.0 added many things such as themes, icons and the program manager, which replaced the MS-DOS Executive in Windows 1.01-2.04. Windows 3.1 further increased to Windows 3.0, adding features such as proper themes, TrueType fonts, Multimedia support (first introduced in Windows 3.0 with Multimedia Extensions). Windows 3.1 was also much faster and stabler than its predecessor, and added file drag and drop. It also replaced Rever- CAN YOU BELIEVE IT REVERSI with Minesweeper. However, Windows 3.1 also removed Windows 3.0's support for the Intel 8086 processor, leading to it to only run on 286 and 386 processors. Unfortunately, Microsoft ended its support for Windows 3.1 and Windows for Workgroups on December 31, 2001, although the embedded version of Windows for Workgroups 3.11 was retired on November 1, 2008.
