✈️ as an autistic individual, plutokit would develop slower than others. while a kit, his speech would be limited to a short greeting or goodbye, most of his communication being gestures toward items or other cats. his mind would take longer to process questions, and he will prefer staying inside the nursery. during my research, i noticed that children with autism may also be prone to chewing on objects they find comforting, like a blanket or clothing. pluto would chew on his moss bed that the kits sleep on, and would be quite sad when he has to move dens. he would form attachments really easily, both to items and other cats. pluto would feel attracted to another cat, not romantically, but more of just liking that person's aura or the feeling of being around them, known as an aesthetic attraction. throughout his life, pluto would be unable to read others emotions very well, causing him to appear to be ignoring the cat's concerns. emotional conflict would be very confusing for him to understand, often frustrating him. he would be frustrated when people don't understand him, causing him to feel secluded. pluto also is very good at spotting details, a habit that made him randomly blurt out things he sees, even if its off topic. as he becomes an apprentice, depending on how his interactions go, pluto would realize that he isn't normal. this may lead to masking or embarrassment. ✈️ have you ever stepped in a puddle with socks on? surely you'd be frustrated and toss the socks away as soon as possible. but sensory sensitivity is far more complex than this; it can be anything, from audio to tactile. and these factors can be more affective than frustration, often causing lasting thoughts or overstimulation for more extended periods of time. pluto would be hypersensitive to touch, texture, loud noises, and bright lights. ✩ touch sensitivity: if he were to find a needle loose in his bed, he'd be hurled into panic and avoid sleeping there. or if he stepped in a mud puddle, the wet mud slowly drying and clumping in his fur would make him quite uncomfortable and fidgety. so pluto would probably hate having to go out during rainy weather. he also would hate being touched by others, unless he warms up to them. unexpected tackles are a big NO. ✩ texture sensitivity: pluto would hate it if his food gets wet. the soggy, clumpy fur is enough to make him not only lose his appetite but also ruin his day. another texture issue would be the grass. he would love walking through dewy grass, but not dry, sharp grass. ✩ audio sensitivity: loud noises or repetitive, brain piercing sounds would be painful for him. like if someone yelled loudly at him or another cat, or if he were to hear a loud splash. ✩ light sensitivity: bright or flashing lights are a no. they would give him a headache or hurt his eyes. for instance, if he were to be forced outside before his eyes could adjust to the light. soft lights are okay, like stars or fireflies.
