1999 - 2004 - The MKI Sentry was Hirota's first step into the midsize MPV, on a stretched Granadi chassis. The Granadi chassis proved to be a very good MPV platform, offering good structural rigidity and a new 2.0L I4 engine provided power to get it moving quickly. It was Hirota's first "European inspired styling" car, which would later be seen on the MK2 April and MK4 Granadi. The Sentry finally rounded out the millenia lineup, slotting nicely between the Tramii and Friiday Tone. Most of these have been scrapped by now, but the few left are often in very poor condition or left to rot in backyards or garages, a once common sight forgotten.
