Nick Stared at her, holding the gift in his hand, seeming just as shy as he was happy. "I can do this, its not that hard" Nick thought to himself, ready to approach. Little did he know, it would be harder than he thought. Legs shaking, he began to approach the beautiful girl, on this beautiful day. "...Hey Ella, how are you?" Nick kindly asked in a shy manner. "Oh, hi Nicholas! I'm doing good, you?" Ella replied with a happy tone. "I'm fine, I just wanted to ask you something-" Nick said before being cut off. He saw Ella walking toward a kid named Ryder, and boy did she look happy to see him. "Hi, Ryder..." Ella said shy. "Hey, Ella. Happy Valentines day." Ryder replied. "I was just wondering if... you would be my valentine..." Ella said to Ryder, blushing. "...wow, of course, thank you so much!" Ryder said with excitement. Nick stared at them, slowly breaking inside, until his heart died, losing all the hope left in him. Nick walked away, until tears came from his eyes, which crumbled the gift in his hand. Nick threw away the gift, and went home different that day, for he felt no one would care for him, not even himself.
