char design by @Zyzeryko any key or click to see next version, green flag to go back to #1 :) 1. fully rendered version 2. also fully rendered, red side this time 3. blue side closeup 4. red side closeup (I SWEAR IT WAS LESS CHOPPED BEFORE I UPLOADED IT, SCRATCH DID NOT TREAT IT WELL) 5. alt version which i hate but i spent way too long on (i'm TERRIBLE at lineart) to leave out of the project (please don't include this one in the final judging i despise it) OKKKKK SO this was SOOOOO FUN eek!!! i saw the butterflies and IMMEDIATELY knew i had to draw her because i LOVE drawing butterflies. i kid you not i started this drawing a month ago, but it was so complicated that i didnt finish it until today </3 (13 and a half hours on this omg, i wonder how many of those were drawing a calligraphy Q over and over again to get one i liked) i knew from the start i wanted to draw both versions of her and juxtapose them with one another in some way but the card idea only hit me later! so there was another version of this that i scrapped but im glad i did bc it didnt even look like her anyway and i highkey was just freeballing it like i had no idea what i was doing i think this is the most detailed drawing ive ever done, scratch killed the quality so u can't really see everything but like i rendered her fingernails and all the gems and the lace and stuff and i'm super happy with how it turned out !!! i'm very lazy and usually avoid those kinds of details but maybe i should start putting my back into them because they are way more fun than i expected i'm not a fashion designer or anything so hopefully all her accessories go together lmao also u mentioned looking for name ideas, one that occurred to me was monarch!! the thought behind it is obviously monarch butterflies, and then specifically in the context of my entry she has the whole queen thing going on, and if she's a caretaker at some sort of sanctuary maybe she has a role of importance there (an official role of leadership or a figurative position of power thanks to her manipulation??) that makes her like the "monarch" of that place?? people could ask her "monarch? like a queen?" and she could say "no, like the butterfly" which js seemed cool to me want to mention that i also signed up to be a pg for this, i should've asked if i can both enter and be a pg, im so sorry! if i can't be both, feel free to take me off the pg list, my apologies also for anyone wondering why im suddenly off hiatus i started working on this before i decided to take a break and i spent too long on it to not post it sigh anywayyyy i hope you like this!!!! i had sooooo much fun working on it and i LOVE her character design and concept, genuinely so creative !! <3 OMG I JUST REMEMBERED I WAS GONNA GIVE HER GLOVES ACK
