[Role: Hunter] [Name: Junius Vesper] [Age: 33] [Gender: Male; he/they] [Appearance: Junius stands at an average height with slouched shoulders and a slow, deliberate gait. His tanned skin is covered in large patches of a deep purple, gel-like substance. These patches are marbled with other colors like black and blue, and contain glimmering specks anywhere from white to yellow to red in color. The most prominent of these patches is the one almost perfectly splitting down the left side of his face. It almost looks like the side of his face was dipped in tar. Shimmering flecks gather in small clusters along his face, pulsing and shifting with their own life and occasionally gravitating towards his eye. The eye itself looks unsettling. While the other eye, his right eye, is an unremarkably normal brown, the other looks almost milky and bright white. And despite being perpetually open wide, you can't so much as see the veins in the edges of his eyes either because of the dull glow that comes from the eye or whatever anomaly did this to him in the first place. His lips are thin and colorful, with a gummy and bright smile. Thick, wavy brown hair drops down to Junius’s shoulders, lighter highlights running throughout. It's cut to be heavily layered, framing the edges of his face. While his posture is fine, his shoulders are usually slumped and relaxed. Quite similar to the rest of his demeanor. Relaxed and as carefree as he can be. His finger nails are always painted an array of colors, some messier than others, sometimes longer or shorter, but painted none the less. His voice and cadence has an upwards inflection; Junius always sounds like his sentences end in a question mark. He speaks fast and isn't the most articulate, nor the best at spacing out his words so that they're comprehensible. Junius’s clothing has been remarkably casual lately, disregarding the regulations set forth by Silver Stars to favor deliberately heavy and warm clothes. He wears a heavy dark green coat with an off-white furred hood. Old holes in the coat were woven and repaired with lighter green thread; repairing it without getting rid of the worn feel. Under the coat is a dark red shirt with yellow sleeves starting at the shoulder, with the collar folded down. The shirt is heavy, but still hangs loose on his body. A dull green bandanna sits tied around his neck, a black paw print inked onto the front of it. His pants are disappointingly plain; smooth, cool fabric with elastic ankles that keep the fabric from falling any further than that. He wears laced, ankle-high athletic shoes that are black with an orange tree print. The laces themselves are bright, neon orange.] [Personality: [+] Friendly: Junius is a bright face on any occasion. Outgoing and playful and more often joking in some capacity. It's how they connect with other people. They give back to the community that virtually raised him with his own generosity and try to be a comfort for those who need it. He's loudly passionate and does his best to inspire similar action in others around him. [+] Responsible: Despite a more laid-back demeanor, Junius is far from irresponsible. He'll get done what he needs to get done when it needs to get done, and he's hell-bent on keeping his word. He's not one to test fate, either. If a mission looks like it might go off the rails and neither he nor the people he's with are prepared, he'll do everything he can to bail and regroup. [+] Patient: Junius takes his time in life. He doesn't want to waste his numbered days. He's very much a "take your time" kind of person; it would be hypocritical to rush the people around him if he won't rush himself. He'll take the time to do the small things for anyone he can and just try to put out as much kindness into the world in the best way he can. [=] Competitive: Friendly competition, truly friendly competition where no one is really worse-off from losing or better-off from winning, has always felt so rewarding for Junius. And despite his slow approach to life he's always up for a good game. [=] Rowdy: Do you like your personal space? Well, Junius likes your personal space too! Patient doesn't mean calm! Junius is loud, outgoing, and very touchy-feely. They're the type of person to push and shove and joke with friends in the most boisterous, loud way possible. There's a certain excitement always emanating from the man.
[-] Confrontational: Junius isn't the most understanding if you've wronged them repeatedly, regardless of how patient he might be. He's more than willing to go toe-to-toe, get up in your face, and get his point across in a less-than-friendly way, and he won't deal with any crap. [-] Uncommunicative: While he pushes others to share their issues and their problems, Junius is one to shut down when confronted about his problems. He can deal with them himself! He always has, and it's gotten him this far. How much harm could it really do? [-] Paranoid; Anxious: No matter how hard he's tried to hide it in the past few weeks, something shifted in the energetic young man. A not-so-subtle shift, either. Going from spending hours or days on end in the Astral Plane, to scarcely going anywhere near it besides the occasional mission. Going from even being an active community member in Parallax to staying home or keeping busy with pointless busy work around the sites.] [Bloodline(s): Zenith + Lesser Bloodline Halfblood] [Starlet: A black, segmented, whip-like sword. The segments can either be connected, in which case each segment has a thorn-like spine on both sides all the way up to the tip. The material of the segments is a rough, coarse sort of metal. The segments can also be disconnected and extend into a whip-like weapon for more ranged defense/offense. Connected the segments are bright, glowing strands of colorful energy reflected the warping colors of the astral plane. Secondarily, Junius can also summon a large, owl-like bird. The bird is obviously not natural. Their feathers are mottled with vibrant oranges and purples and blues, scattered with glimmering and pulsing white dots. The bird's name is Sonder :] their job is to scout ahead of Junius on the astral plane to look out for nightmares :sparkles:] [Backstory: While Junius's parents did as best as they could, they weren't always present in his life. He spent so much of his time in Silver Stars before he was even old enough to try out for a trainee spot. He spent some of his later years before inevitably joining Silver Stars as a trainee in the community of Parallax, volunteering and picking up random jobs that never really lasted. His story isn't one of tragedy; he was raised by the community and raised RIGHT, and he wouldn't have it any other way. He established himself as a hunter and astral plane explorer within Silver Stars, staying in the astral plane for days on end and only returning to Origin to resupply, rest up, and go on normal missions. But just three weeks earlier Junius returned to Silver Stars in supposed critical condition, and spent nearly a week in SS's ICU. Upon returning to life his skin was covered in large, dark blue and purple blemishes and his fiery spirit has dimmed just enough to notice. He has yet to explain exactly what happened on his latest adventure, only warning that exploration to the furthest reaches of the astral plane is "the worst idea mankind has ever had."] [Other: Uhhh i listened to AvidMC's Through the Void and Singularity albums while writing most of Junius <3 I like his songs. I'd say Limbo, from one of Avid’s albums, is Junius's theme song :D]
