Here it is Stanza 1 – My POV Part One I cuddle In the back Of a small bush Today Is the day Where devils And black cats Come Out They make your day Worse In the worst Way I hide In the bush Heart pacing I eye The outside With fear in my eye As a girl Steps out That’s the Daughter Of my friend I motion for her To come Quietly She shakes her head I watch As she goes Down the street Towards A BLACK CAT Oh no That cat Could give Her the worst Of luck How can She do that? The cat looks As if pleased That someone Knows that Friday The 13th Isn’t haunted The girl pets the cat And takes her Into her snug home The cat looks at me And smiles But not an evil one A kind one I step out With some other friends As we notice It isn’t as bad As we thought Part Two Me And my friends Dash out The girl (Yuki) Stops And comes to us “This Is Shadow, Shadow say hi.” Shadow waves I step One at a time Then I pet Shadow And before I knew it I was dancing along The muddy street Calling for people To join me I’m having The time of my life On the day We thought Was haunted Stanza 2 – Black Cat POV (Shadow) Oh, How I wish That people Will realize The truth Behind this day You want to know Purr-fect Let’s get on With this Feline-tastic Story Once So very long ago The devils Decided Evil was not The way to go So they stopped And left it to me But we knew too We just couldn’t be mean So we didn’t But many people think We still carry The evil from those Pesky devils I’m not meant to be scary I’m not meant to be rude I’m meant to be A Cat You might be wondering Why black Because it represents Evil And dark More than any Cat I lay in the street As a girl steps out Of a small house It seems cozy And so very snug She shakes her head Then comes on to me She names me Shadow Oh, How delightful She takes me To her home Then she stops And I smile A kind one At a girl In the bushes I’m so Very pleased I have a home Then the girl And a few others Sneak out Of those Warm Dens Or homes As they call It Then the girl Carrying me says “This is Shadow Shadow say hi.” So I wave As the girl Emerging from the bushes Pets me Then me And them dance And prance Along the squishy Street And more And more People Join us Stanza 3 – Girl POV (Yuki) Yawn Oh, Hi, I’m Yuki And I just woke up It’s Friday The 13th Most are scared But I’m not It’s just another day I get out Of my warm bed Then step into the hallway I hear my mom Saying “Don’t go outside” I ignore her And step out Of my snug home I see An adorable cat It’s black But I don’t care That they say it gives bad luck She’s cute I see My mom’s friend Waving for me To hide with her But I gently shake My head I approach the cat She meows Like she is pleased For some reason Any reason I pick her up Her eyes glint With hope Magic And mischief And I name her Shadow She purrs Delightfully I start Back toward the house When My mom’s friend Scrambles out of The bushes She approaches With caution In her eyes As I say “This is Shadow, Shadow, say hi.” Shadow waves And my mom’s friend Pets her Then Before I knew it Everyone was dancing On the dirt street Asking more to come along Friday The 13th Isn’t scary And now Everyone knows Stanza 4 – My Friends POV Part One (Yuki’s Mom) Snore Yawn Good morning I hope my daughter Yuki Isn’t going out My friend Went out And didn’t come back Yesterday She’s outside And I feel She’s going to be gone At least She can hide Better than me Better than any Townsperson Her name? Lilia My name? Hollie My daughter’s name? Yuki I call out To Yuki “Don’t go outside” Then I repeat Quietly “Don’t step outside To save Yuki.” I curl up And fall asleep I wake up To people saying “Friday the 13th Is just any other Day!” I smile And hop outside Part Two (KK / Friend POV) Hi! I’m KK Well, Kiki But most Call me KK Yuki Is my bestie She thinks Friday the 13th, A haunted day Full of dark magic And bad luck, Is a normal Day How could she Think Today Is just like Any other? I slip Into my blanket I’m worried For my friend She’s going To bring the small ball In the lawn Back I yawn And hop into bed I fall asleep Before the Count of three I wake up To Yuki Screaming, “Today Is a normal day.” I tiptoe Outside And before I knew it I joined the parade Stanza 5 – Other People POV Hey… We’re worried About a fellow Citizen Yuki She is Brave Ish And she went outside When it is Friday The 13th We can’t believe it We are so worried Yuki Is too young To get cursed Or worse Be gone We all Get on a game Chat And talk While we play We need A distraction We sit there And drift off Into the world of Dreams We exit Our world Of dreams With a huge jolt We listen “Today, Is a normal day.” We peek through the window And watch her Walk Without anything happening We join Cautiously And soon We are dancing On our feet
