click/tap for next pic I went with some of my friends yesterday to go to Meow Wolf Houston to celebrate my birthday! (My bday's on the 17th. scheduling issues caused my party to be pushed to the 13th) It was one of the coolest places I think I've ever been to and i most definitely will be going back again at some point. If you don't know, Meow Wolf is a company that makes art installments, most known for their exhibit in Las Vegas, Omega Mart. This exhibit was called Radio Tave and it was very music-themed. All kinds of weird music was blasted everywhere you went. I even heard breakcore at one point lol. EVERYTHING there was interactive, the staff encouraged you to touch and mess with everything. These are only the pictures I took that didn't feature me or any of my friends as to respect privacy. There's a bunch more pictures I took but these were the only ones that didn't have me or my buddies in it 1. this big pile of junk. this thing was MASSIVE, like about four or five times my height. It didn't do anything special, just kind of stood there like a big trash and junk monolith 2. this room??? not sure what its deal was, it made like weird running water noises so i assumed it was some kind of upside-down shower room 3. this sort of like almost underwater themed room. This is the first room you walk into that really gets trippy. most of the rooms resemble a radio studio until this point. like you walk into this room (which you later learn belonged to a guy named Aaron through the books sitting on the table) and it starts as a regular office but then kind of melts into the weird trippy neon room 4. a satellite dish! it was located in this strange alternate universe forest-themed room with lots of buttons to press to make music. the satellite dish itself had a computer you could use (which two strangers are currently using in this pic) but none of us could figure out what it did. this room was located directly outside the "break room" 5. A city-themed room?? this was definitely my favorite room out of all of them. In the room that lies about in the center of this pic was an arcade with working programmed videogames made for this exhibit! None of us could figure out how to play them though lol. There was also a talking vending machine that was incredibly sassy for no reason (i pressed the "gender fluid" button because i am nothing if not predictable and the vending machine told me something along the lines of "Yeah we outta that. Pick something else loser". and then i accidentally pressed a button twice and it said "Did you just press that button AGAIN??") the vending machine actually turned out to be a door and when one of my friends walked through it the vending machine said it liked when people walked through it. freaky ahh vending machine bro 6. Pipe room. not much to comment about this one i just thought it looked cool 7. The ETNL break room, located in the aforementioned forest room there were a lot of couples here when we went??? and everyone was dressed super formally for some reason?? i get that it was the day before valentine's day but like could you imagine someone walking up to their partner and saying "duuude... what if we kissed under the giant pile of trash and junk" and they walked up to this joint in a tux and a dress Anyway this place was pretty neat! Wasn't crowded at all either. Would recommend visiting if you live in texas
