warning there's s*1c1de in chapter 3 XD Chapter 2:Ebony I glared at the setting sun, annoyed that the day was ending. Can’t wait for everything to repeat itself! It seemed to have taken a hundred years just to get the sky orange. The sun is really taking it’s time to set. I sighed and looked away, debating whether I should wait or just sleep now. Bear sat across the clearing, his eyes narrowed. I met his eyes for a moment. He shook his head, got up, and walked away. I stared after him. He didn’t look back. I woke up. The sun shined brightly through the den’s entrance. I blinked several times and glared at Bear, who was sitting across from me, his eyes not leaving mine. I shifted awkwardly. I stood up and quickly walked past him. He stopped me. “Ebony, dear. Where are you going?”He asked. My breathing quickened. “N-no where…” “Good.”He grinned. “Because you’re stuck with me. Remember that.” Bear was human, too, which meant he remembered everything from the day before. We’ve been in a “relationship” for about five years, ever since both of us got stuck here. He was here a few years before me, which he loves to tell me all the time. I wish there was more humans around. Salia isn’t much fun either. She’s really rude to all of us. I think she just misses her girlfriend in the real world. I had no one. My parents were divorced, my older brother died in a car accident, and my sister- well…she’s not exactly kind. I glared at Bear. He may be the only person who cared about me left, but I won’t let him control me forever. I stormed out of our den. I wandered through the forest. I didn’t know where I was going, or remotely cared. I just wanted to be left alone. I went to the border between the Light Dynsaty and the Night Dynasty. I sat down, staring at the empty fields at the edge of our territory. I heard a noise coming from the border and my head snapped towards the sound. A young gray and white tom stood on the border, one paw raised, his dark blue eyes wide. I stared at him, angry and a little shocked. “What are you doing here?!”I growled. “U-uh…”He hesitated. He was at least a few years older then me. I always looked older then I actually am though. I sat up taller. “You’re on my territory.” “I’m on the border.”His eyes scanned me slowly before he said, “My name’s Jace. I’m…kinda new around here.” “Huh.”I was pulled into the conversation. “So am I. How long ago did you come here?” “Twenty-six years ago.”Jace announced. “T-there’s no way.”I whispered. “What?”He took a step towards me then hesitated. “Were you human too?” “Y-yeah…”I said. “You?” Jace nodded. “Well, then.”I sighed. “Another one.” “I saw someone else…the other day.”Jace offered. “Salali.” “Never heard of them.” “She’s from the Forest Dynsaty I think.”He replied. “Hm…”I looked away from his piercing gaze. “I wonder is there’s more…”
Chapter 3:Jace I opened my eyes and groaned. I stared at my surroundings. I was in a small room with no doors and only a small barred window. The walls were old and worn down. I tried to call out, tried to say anything, but no sound came. I realized something. I was human. My parents removed my voice box when I was sixteen and I wasn’t able to talk since then. I then realized where I was. My parents locked me down here when they got bored of making me do their chores. My siblings weren’t much help either, beating me when I wouldn’t do their share. I glared at the dark, blood stained walls. I heard a loud crashing sound behind me. I spun around. Two pairs of eyes stared at me from the shadows. Then a young girl stepped forward. She was about thirteen with a ripped blue dress with red stains, most likely blood, and wide unsettling black eyes. She stepped forward, reaching a pale hand out. I stumbled back. She kept walking towards me. I blinked, and she was gone. I stared at the spot she was just in before pain shot through my stomach. I glanced down slowly. A knife was sticking out of my chest, so close to my heart it scared me. It slowly was pulled out. I hit the floor, trying to stop the blood. I looked over my shoulder. The young girl stood there, grinning. “Why…?”I mouthed. She titled her head. “Because, brother. You would have done the same to get rid of me.” I stared at her in shock. I wanted to beg, cry, do anything! But I couldn’t speak, couldn’t move, couldn’t fight. I couldn’t do anything but die, and my younger sister holding a knife with my blood was the last thing I saw. I gasped, waking up. I was in my bedroom. The walls were light blue, my favorite color, and clothes were in giant piles on the floor. Just like before the accident happened. I stood up, shoving the blankets off myself. “Dean! Breakfast!”my Mom called. I blinked in surprise. I opened the door with difficulties (given there was so many clothes on the floor), and made my way down stairs. Mom was in the kitchen making food while my Dad sat at the table, reading a paper. My younger sister grinned at me, wearing a light blue dress and beautiful smile. “Hey, Dean!”She said. “Mom’s making breakfast. Then I gotta head out for stage crew at school.” I nodded absently. “Sounds great, Zinna.” She smiled before going back to reading a small hardcover book. I turned to my Mom. “I’m not very hungry, please don’t make me anything.”I told her. She nodded but didn’t reply. I grabbed my school stuff and slung my book bag over my shoulder. “Bye.”I pushed open the front door and stepped out. I shielded my eyes from the sunlight and began the long journey to school. When I came home I immediately heard a scream. Then it was cut out. It sounded like it was coming from the lake. I dropped everything I was carrying and sprinted towards the back of the house. There was my sister, flailing in the water. I ran into the water and tried to pull her head the surface. Something was pulling her down. I took a deep breath before diving underwater. I didn’t see her. I searched everywhere before coming back up for air. I dived down again. Nothing. I stared at the empty lake. I lost her. I walked out of the water, shocked. Everything was suddenly slow motion. I heard my parents screaming, shoving me out of the way to get to the water, the police cars lining the front of the house. I walked into the house and slowly made my way to the stairs. I stopped, glancing at the knife Mom left out. I didn’t hesitate and grabbed it, running upstairs. I slammed the door to my room shut. I pointed the knife at my stomach and took a deep breath. I slowly pushed it in. I gasped, pain shooting through me as the knife got deeper and deeper. The edges of my vision blacked. Then I fell to the ground. (end of chapter 3) Previous- https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1275846330 First- https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1275841759/ Next-
