The moonlit sky filled my eyes as the world dropped away. I asked Kai to go faster and soon enough his wingbeats were all I could hear. They pump faster and faster into the night. The clouds became the ground as we left the planet. The stars twinkled above us and formed constellations in my head. We flew for hours as the moon rose and set. Before I knew it, we landed with a loud thump and I climbed off him. We walked back to town exhausted. The gloomy, run-down houses with boarded up windows and peeling paint signaled we were almost there. I began to jog, and asked Kai to walk a little faster as well. "But I'm tired!" He whined as he reluctantly obeyed. "Yes, but your food is right there!" I spurred him on. At the prospect of food, he ran off quickly towards the only decent house in the neighborhood: mine. As we neared it, the warm smell of onion and garlic asulted my nostrils and I ran up the two stairs and burst through the door.
By the way Kai is pronounced (K long i). 1st chapter: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1274355436/ 2nd chapter: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1276794718/ Comment what you possibly want to see in chapter 4! (The confrontation won't come till much later so don't recommend that!)
