heyy! it’s been a while since I shared anything violin-related :))) click on the buttons to listen to the violin recordings ✃ — — — — For an upcoming soloist competition, I’m preparing 2 pieces: Praeludium and Allegro by Kreisler and the 3rd movement of the Violin Concerto in E minor by Mendelssohn (so about 13 minutes of memorized music total). soo why am I sharing this project?? 1. to hold myself accountable in practicing all the music 2. as a fun challenge for myself :D 3. in case there are any other musicians out there who may enjoy listening THE PLAN: I’m going to record a few sections each day and keep adding progress updates here (there are notes inside the project for each recording). All of the practice will happen off-recording ofc. The goal of these recordings is to listen back, improve, and get some performance practice in. There are definitely mistakes in each one, but I'm not aiming for perfection. I'm aiming for progress. I’m low-key kind of stressed about this comp since it's my first time participating in anything like this lol, but I think this is a realistic plan. anyways, thanks for listening!
