Chapter One The Introduction Welcome to Crossland Boarding School, the school of… chaos. But I’m not sure if chaos is the right way to describe the events. I’m Sophie, and I’m the leader of The Gang. I have telekinesis that I inherited from my mum. I also have the ability to open timeholes, which either send us to the past, the future, the present day, or teleports us, and I inherited that from my mum too, as well as a tail, that looks like V, J and N’s tails from Murder Drones, just that, instead of yellow, it’s lavender, and it glows like a constant, lavender coloured nightlight, and it can get us in trouble a lot of the time. My biggest fears are Ms Barcley, the principal, and Justine, Ms Barcley’s daughter and the school queen and bully. My abilities are the main reason why Justine and Ms Barcley hate me. Justine tells Ms Barcley lies about me, and Ms Barcley believes them and says the same things all the time when she sends me to her office. “Sophie Cornu, you are a dangerous prankster, who is using hired actors and holograms to pull immensely dangerous tricks and stunts!” She’d say. I’m always quiet in her office, because I’m afraid of her, and because I don’t want to be in St Trouts for the Unstable. She threatens me, Kai, and Alyssa that she’ll send us there if I keep doing magic, with Kai and Alyssa supporting me. “Oh, sorry that Sophie is doing magic!” Alyssa always replied with, under her breath. Meet Alyssa, the queen of sass. She’s my best friend and does most of the things certain non-brave people wouldn’t do. She’s also only 1% less pretty than Justine, which does not make her happy. In fact, it makes her hate Justine even more, because before Justine came with Ms Barcley, Alyssa was the prettiest in the school, and Justine stole that spot when she came. She has curly blonde hair, sparkling green eyes, and a shockingly wonderful sense of fashion, so it’s obvious that she is annoyed with Justine for stealing her pretty spot. Meet Kai, a kind friend who is never angry, reads a lot and is the Gang nerd. He is the only boy in The Gang, so me and Alyssa make sure to give him as much respect as we can. He wears glasses from reading too much, and has red hair, which makes him more respected by me and Alyssa, because a nerd with a hair colour only 2% of the world in The Gang definitely needs respect. We used to have a kind principal, Mr Smith, but Ms Barcley replaced him. Twice. And this time, the second time, she has turned Crossland High School into Crossland Boarding School. And the schedule is ever so strict, and she’s mean and cruel. She even banned half the things we like for no reason at all, like glitter because it is witchcraft, or rubber ducks because they watch! She even banned projectors, but I’ll get to that part in a later story, I guess. I’ll start the story here, the morning when we arrived at a place now called Crossland Boarding School… It was a normal morning, and me, Kai, and Alyssa met up outside the school, like we always do. Always five minutes early, it’s me first. Then, one minute later, it’s Kai, and finally it’s Alyssa, still fussing about her pretty blonde hair and neat clothes. Our uniform is simple. Boys wear black trousers, black boy school shoes, a white, short sleeved school shirt, and a black and red tie. And, if you are Kai, glasses, which are optional. Girls wear black tights, black girl school shoes and/or black school boots with flat points at the ends, a long sleeved, white school shirt, and a black, white and red tartan skirt. And an optional red, black, or white, or all coloured headband. Anyway, when we entered the school, we got sent to the front office, and they told us about dorms and gave us our new timetable, and the new floor plan, which will be telling the truth in about two months, because the fourth to eighth floors aren’t ready yet. Oh, and they told us that me, Kai and Alyssa are sharing a dorm, in Dorm Room 402. In period 4, Science, the whole school got sent home because the construction workers have arrived and they were going to be starting in a couple of minutes!
