He’s such a cutie, and his markings are absolutely gorgeous. I am a huge sucker for designs with hearts on them, and I love his horns, so this design is honestly my kryptonite a little bit. He has such a personality, even in just his art, and I would love to explore his relationships with those around him. I also really enjoy doing research, and really try to be able to roleplay disabilities and conditions accurately, and would do my absolute best to roleplay Moosekit as accurately as I can. ⇷———————.⋆⁺₊❅₊⁺⋆.————————⇸ ོ☾Future Identity ོ☼ Moosekit will likely stay cisgender for the rest of his life, and be very, very, gay. I don’t know, he just gives that energy a little bit. Of course, like all my characters, his identity would be subject to change based on how his character may shift in the future if I ended up getting him. ⇷———————.⋆⁺₊❅₊⁺⋆.————————⇸ ོ☾Extended Personalityོ☼ At a glance, Moosekit doesn’t seem like much. Always dreaming, always moving, rarely what any proper icecat… or really any self-respecting cat really… should be. His attention wanders, his focus slips, and he seems far more interested in the way frost curls beneath his pawsteps than anyone else’s expectations of what he ought to be. Sometimes, when he listens, he seems to hear something other than what the cats around him have actually said. After all, an expectation is not fact. Nor is it a burden to carry or bend beneath the weight of. With how often Moosekit sidesteps the expectations of those around him, he would find it terribly unfair to carve those same expectations into someone else. He approaches rules with curiosity and questions. A need to understand everything around him, even if it often sends him down paths that others have yet to tread. He asks questions to the world without ever voicing them aloud, and tests the limits herself when it comes time to hear the world’s reply. Every footstep upon the frozen ground of Iceclan’s territory leaves its mark, and Moosekit, in all his boundless curiosity, has no interest in simply following the pawsteps already worn into the snow. Distractible and prone to drifting mid-thought, Moosekit can appear unserious at the worst possible moments, answering tension or arguments with a sudden observation that leaves others blinking. He rarely asserts himself, rarely challenges authority head-on, and almost never announces his strengths. Instead, he adapts. Moosekit sidesteps conflict as easily as he does expectations, choosing observation over confrontation. When he does act, it is quickly, decisively, and often too late for doubt to matter. Moosekit is not polished. But in his eyes, understanding is better. He sidesteps expectations with quiet defiance, seeing two sides to every story and choosing understanding over obedience every time. ⇷———————.⋆⁺₊❅₊⁺⋆.————————⇸ ོ☾Diprosopia Researchོ☼ Diprosopus cats(Otherwise known as Janus cats) are cats that have a varying range of facial duplication, ranging from a few facial features like eyes, mouths, and noses, to even an entire part of the face. It is usually a congenital disorder, meaning it's caused by a birth defect and not genetic, and has been attributed to an abnormal amount of a specific protein(The SHH protein) which controls facial symmetry. They only possess one brain and one personality. Due to internal problems, especially misformations within the brain, airways, or esophagus, most cats with this condition do not survive past infancy. The longest known survival of a janus cat is 15 years. Moosekit is born with 2 ears, 2 horns, 2 noses, 2 mouths, and 3 eyes. He has one personality and his brain is formed normally. I will probably say that for him to survive long, Moosekit only has one oesophagus that both mouths connect to, but only his left mouth is functional and the other likely doesn’t open all the way and is unuseable. He also only has one functional airway system. This means that he can only eat through his left side. Due to him having only one functional mouth, he usually only speaks through it. He breathes through his right nose. Some impacts to this is he would likely struggle with grooming himself properly and eat slower. When he meows, only his left side would make noise. The right side would likely either be silent or make an occasional faint airy sound while Moosekit talks. Due to his breathing being from the opposite side of his functional mouth, he would also likely tilt his head while eating, and pause frequently to breathe. While he does have 3 eyes, the fused eye in the center is blind and does not blink, which causes him some issues with depth perception. As such, Moosekit would likely struggle to accurately judge distances for hunting and jumping. This would probably mean that he is prone to hesitating for too long while hunting or moving, as he would have issues gaging where prey is. He would also be pretty clumsy, reaching for something and missing or walking into things by mistake. Eventually, he would learn strategies to hunt effectively, relying on the senses of his whiskers and testing the ground around him before trying to catch prey.
