Protect the world from the unspeakable darkness unleashed by Sam. Contains references to Battle Cats, Pixeljunk Monsters, Item Asylum, BTD 6, etc LOG: V0.1: A basic release of the game. Had Red, Black and Angel enemies, as well as the Wielder, Bomber, Wizard, Reaper, Angel, Boomeranger, and Ninja. Later updates added the DJ and Officer. V0.2: An updated release of the game includes the addition of Aku-type enemies that have a barrier protecting their health. Bleed can theoretically pierce this barrier. Once the barrier is destroyed, it does not regenerate. Also added the Trapper unit, which deploys traps that stun enemies and inflict bleeding, as well as the Priest, which does AOE freezing as well as an unlockable and powerful line beam, plus the Starcaller, which calls down flurries of stars that damage, slow, and inflict burning. Waves up to 40 have also been added, as well as a new level of enemy and a new boss. V0.3: Added choosing which units to place and where to place them, as well as a new group of enemies, waves up to 50, and a new boss. V0.4: A mostly QOL update that made viewing units controlled easier as well as a few nicer effects. V0.5: Added a new unit, bug fixes, and a unit selection menu. V0.6: Added a Library feature (that is still a work in progress) V0.7: Added many new units. V0.8: Added more new units, as well as changing the appearance of the Dreadnaught. V0.9: Added Dicemaster, as well as two end-game units. V1.0: Added an ending and temporary finish to the game. This is the base full release, without the library.
Tips: Each enemy has a type. That type is usually indicated by certain design elements, typically their color. If an enemy is a red color, that means they are a red enemy. If the enemy is black, it means they are a black enemy. If an enemy has a halo, it means they are an angel enemy. ANTI-____ means that unit will have a special effect when attacking a certain type of enemy. This effect could be slowing, knock back, extra damage, or even status effects. Certain units can apply certain status effects. The Angel applies slowing to enemies, which reduces their movement speed temporarily, the bomber knocks back enemies, which simply pushes them back down the track, and the ninja applies bleeding, which makes enemies take more damage. If an enemy has been inflicted with bleeding, they will take a certain amount of extra damage from ALL sources. This could be other units, or even other status effects like burning or poison. Each unit has an attacking type, which can indicate what they’re good for. Ranged means they often use projectiles, AOE means they use direct abilities that can hit multiple enemies, Status means they can inflict status effects, CC means they are good against groups, Attacker means they have good damage, and Destroyer means they utterly crush certain enemies. Some units are better for certain situations than others. Small amounts of or cramped-together enemies are perfect targets for units like the Bomber, who can damage and push them back, or the Officer, who can fully stun them for a few seconds. Tough enemies of certain types, like the Archangel, are perfect targets for the Reaper, who slows, pushes back, and does huge damage to them. Aku enemies have barriers that protect them. These barriers can only take 1 damage at a time, so multi-hit attackers like the boomeranger are perfect for it! Zombie enemies regain health over time. Taking them out quickly can prevent being overwhelmed. High damagers like the upgraded Priest as well as powerful stunners like the Officer can make Zombies a lot easier to deal with. Masked enemies, usually found in waves 40-50, are incredibly tough compared to enemies just prior. However, they are still susceptible to stunning, slow, and knockback. Support enemies like the Healer apply effects to enemies near them. They move very slowly, which makes targeting them directly very difficult. However, units that have large AOE damage can put pressure on them. Doom is a status effect that, once at 100 stacks, will deal a large amount of damage to an enemy. Doom is only built up from certain things applying "Impending Doom", which will increase the stacks of Doom by the stacks of Impending Doom each time the enemy is damaged. If an enemy has one stack of Impending Doom, and the Ninja hits that unit, Doom will increase by one stack. The Arithmetician will apply different status effects to different enemies based on their internal ID. If an enemy's ID is 30, all four different effects will hit. The Dicemaster is quite inconsistent, doing one of six random things each time it "attacks". These can range from universal damage to enemies, to triggering the effects of other units, to even giving you money and lives. Make sure to check the Library often! You can find useful information on units you’ve discovered, enemies you’ve fought, and more.
