Hi! Firstly - HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This year shall be the year of the fire horse, which only happens once every 60 years! Just click the green flag and enjoy. Uhhhh just a very mild loud noise warning, if you have your headphones on at full volume, or have particularly sensitive ears, I reccomend turning the volume down A LITTLE BIT, even though I've already softened the sound A LOT.
I used a reference image for the calligraphy and copied it out, since I'm not Chinese and can't write in Chinese (or read and speak in it either), so credit to the person who made it. Credit to viacheslavstarostin on pixabay for the music - I just searched 'Chinese new year 2026 music' and this came up! I also used a ref of a horse, because I wanted to see what it looks like to draw it! uhhh yeah that's it! I used Sketchbook for the entire thing. I imported my work as a transparent image into Scratch for the horse & writing. The pulsing glow on the horse is another sprite I made in Sketchbook using the airbrush tool. It also has a transparent background. The red background is the stage on scratch. The end, and once again, happy Lunar new year!!! STORY TIME: Ok here's the story of my interest in Lunar new year and Chinese traditions in general. Three words - Hong Kong club. Hong Kong club is so fascinating and cool! I love it! Also the fact that they always have snacks helps with the learning aspect. I have fallen in love with haw flakes! The end for real now. :D
