[SECTION 1 - ABOUT YOU] @cynoph0bia - cyno (any prns) Hello. My name is Cyno, short for, well, Cynophobia. I found Generations through my headmates and I am the 11th Raven Corp member to join. I'm rather bitter in nature and cynical, but I try not to be aggressive towards people if it's unwarranted. I'm a rather honest person and I like to write to express and get out my emotions. - I check in once every day or every two days, depending on our stress and fatigue levels. I'm around a 11/20. - My system has lots of roleplay experience. Me as a headmate though? Loose cannon. I don't have anything to show but a dream. - This will be my first gens cat as a headmate, but my system has had some pretty influential cats, so that's cool. [SECTION 2 - THE KIT] dragonflykit (of flurry) - Why wouldn't I want him? He has a design that's easy on the eyes, simpler than a lot I've seen, and generally appealing to me with a palette that works in monotones. I like gray cats, and he's one of those. The lore I'm not really caught up on, but I like the multiple caregivers for the litter, making it not feel as lonely. - I don't like giving reasons as to why I should be chosen. But if I have to, I'll give three, considering I at least should try to persuade you. - I've sworn an oath to my headmates to not kill my gens cats off until he is, at minimum, 50 moons. This doesn't include random chance stuff, but I want him to be old! We don't get many older cats and I hate that fact. Dragonfly deserves to have a long life. - I want to give him an arc that's fulfilling and summarizes a lot of experiences we and many other people have had, and the trials that go with them. I can't exactly do that with any other kit, considering I hate the idea of copy pasting the ideas I have for Draco for another kit. - I won't say I'll make him buff, but I'll make him cool. I don't want to promise anything like 'Yeah, totally, I'll grind him to max exp AND make him a high rank!' Which... I don't want. I want a cat with personality and story, not a high rank. I will prioritize his story and character over other stuff, but I will at least get a bit. [SECTION 3 - PERSONALITY] + sweet, polite, creative, courteous, observant = passive, curious, coy - fence-sitter, skittish, hesitant, avoidant, cold Dragonflykit will start out as a very curious and talkative tomkit, who will have a ton of energy. However, as he grows up, he forms more of his negative traits visibly; he doesn't like to pick sides and never has, as well as avoiding others. Due to this, he often will refuse to participate in anything that's genuinely important out of fear of hurting someone by picking a side. He's very skittish, jumpy when he shouldn't be; honestly some could say he could be scared of his own shadow. But he tries to make up for it by being generous and patient with others; showing clear empathy when he honestly would rather run away from the slightest idea of something bad happening. Draco will always choose not to get into drama, running the other way. He's the kind of cat who absolutely would ditch his clan if they got into a war. He's not an optimist by any means; but he's willing to try! He wants to help others out however he can, as long as they don't annoy him too much.. He doesn't have a short temper, and often tries to be courteous but when he gets angry, that's usually his last straw regarding that cat. [SECTION 4 - GENDER AND SEXUALITY] dragonflykit - male + none (he / him) - dragon will be curious about the world, and not know identity struggles for a while. as he reaches 4 moons, he may be more curious about himself though. dragonflypaw - demiboy + demibi (they / he) - fly will start to experiment heavily with his identity; he may even form a 'crush', which is just him idolizing another cat platonically. they get very confused about himself and their identity in this era. dragonflysoldier - male + aroace (he / vey / rain) - draco is fine with being male, and comes to terms with himself as he's aroace. he may have a mate or not in-rp, but it would be more of a queer-platonic partner (qpp) instead of a genuine romantic partner.
[SECTION 5 - RESEARCH] researching added disorder; general anxiety disorder OVERVIEW General Anxiety Disorder, or GAD, is an anxiety disorder that isn't focused on specific things like social phobias and more. It presents in a wide variety of symptoms and can affect a ton of different people in different ways. ONSET This disorder typically comes into play in the young adult portion of life, albeit it's very common in adolescents. For Dragonflypaw, he'll start developing it around at around 8 moons old, and he will have no clue why they feel like this suddenly, feeling nervous about everything and uncontrollably worrying. SYMPTOMS Excessive anxiety that lasts more than 6 months; it affects day-to-day activities and causes fatigue, restlessness, overbearing worry, or in some cases, nausea. The constant worrying and anxiety can often drive people to physical and mental restlessness and unhealthy habits. STIGMA AROUND GAD People are awful about GAD some times, and I've seen it first-hand. Some people simply assume it's for attention or something that can be controlled, warranting bad things stated to those with GAD. Often the severity of this disorder is not noted or looked into enough, and people tend to gloss over it as some kind of weakness instead of a disorder. People also tend to infantilize people with anxiety disorders; seeing them as shy, stutter-y, and cutesy. Anyone can have GAD, and it affects people in a variety of ways. AFFECTS ON APPRENTICEHOOD Dragonfly will have a lot of trouble focusing due to his constant worrying; having no clue why he suddenly feels like this, they will be a general mess. He will often find himself doing things such as counting blackbirds, hiding from the world, and generally being hesitant to approach or speak to others. GAD affects his personality greatly and forms some of his worst traits; his hesitance and fear of others. AFFECTS ON WARRIORHOOD Drago will be able to meditate and manage his symptoms far more clearly the older he gets; being able to mitigate that fear and avoidance is something that he prides veirself in, and rain knows that he can't control his thoughts but instead tries to calmly disprove them or stay around cats that he considers safe. It would be better safe than sorry, rain tells himself. Dragonflysoldier! - Later in life, he will take inspiration from a variety of places; Cosmo Sheldrake songs, A mish-mash of video game characters, and more. I love this little fellow. - Dragonfly is highly empathetic; even if he is cold at times to others, this doesn't mean he doesn't exactly care; he just needs some space! - Would be a great dad. Would tell his next of kin about Pigeonstar and more. - However, he would not be a good leader. Sure, I think it'd be fun if he got it, but Draco is lacking in many things that leaders should have. For instance; he will cave to another clan's wishes if needed. - Big fan of Dogface Butterflies. Might just be personal bias, because I'm themed around dogs, but yeah. PLANS FOR THE FUTURE ARC IDEAS Caterpillar to Moth Overcoming fears General acceptance of identity Handling the fears of having kin in the Dark Forest IDEAS / GOALS Kit Exp: At least 10 Apt App Exp: Aiming for 50/10 Maybe? Warrior Exp: As much as I can get as a warrior.. Companion stuff; - I think it'd be fun if he dual-birded. Pigeon and Corvid. But in a logical sense, he would totally rock with a Swan or Vulture, having Pigeonstar as his ghost mentor when it comes to it.
