As a kit, I probably never thought I’d have to fight in a battle. Never thought I’d have to rake my claws down the side of a River’Clan tom. But here I am. In a battle, raking my claws down the side of a River’Clan tom. I hate fighting. All I’ve ever wanted was peace. My mother is always meowing on about “Why can’t you just be good at fighting? You’re descended from /the/ Fire’Star!” *I’m trying my best, mother,” I thought, dodging a blow barely from the tom *But my best is never enough..* Before I knew it, the River’Clan tom had me pinned. I gasped for air as he breathed “Ready to die, kid?” Then it all went black. “Where..am I?” I scrambled to my paws, suddenly aware of the sparkling purple meadow I was sitting on. “I’m a sentimental idiot. This is Star’Clan.” “Oh..I never meant for you to die so young..” “Coriander’Star!” I immediately recognized my leader. I knew he was on his last life. *Did you die in battle?* I shook his head. I knew the answer. “What about my father, Vermilion’Claw, and my mother Teak’Heart?” “Don’t you know?” A Light yellow she-cat emerged from the crowd “I died a long time ago.” I gazed speechless. His mom had died and he didn’t know? A yellow tail batted him from the front “Flare’Paw! Listen to me. Your father is deputy of Shadow’Clan. His leadership ceremony is happening right now! We’d better hurry. I was the first person to go so I’d have time to bring you over there. Come on, you’re scheduled as last cat.” My mother and I dashed away. “I give you the gift of knowledge. Remember to always think before you act.” I recognized the Thunder-like mew of Tempest’Flight, the old deputy of Thunder’Clan and brother of Teak’Heart. He stepped back and I realized it was my turn. “Flare’Paw!” “Hello, Father!” I realized I had to act more like an adult. I knew exactly what gift he needed. “I give you a gift for Perseverance. You must continue to serve your clan no matter how many deaths. Your clanmates still need you. Now, I grant you your name of Vermilion’Star.” “Vermilion’Star!” “Vermilion’Star!” “Vermilion’Star!” {The end}
SWAC stands for Story Writing About Cats. This is an activity I have made for myself where you search up “Warrior cats ocs,” you choose a cat without a name, and you write a short story about them. You have to write SWAC in first person (I, Me) Just a note, SWAC does not have to be written every day. If you want, you can draw the cat, but it’s more creative when you haven't already planned out exactly how the cat looks. {Original activity made by me}
