☆Intro☆ AI... It's a piece of revolutionary technology but is it really all that great? Actually, yes, it's pretty good, I use it for school, I have friends who use it for school, and my parents use it for work. I do know that it's been taking jobs all over the world but is it really all that bad? I mean it is bad that it's been taking jobs and stealing stuff but that is how it was built, that's what is was supposed to do... I think. ⯎Why we Scratchers worry about This⯎ Scratch is a place full of fun and ideas, creativity and coding, people and "places", AI can destroy it all. We are scared because it can steal OUR ideas, OUR creations, and OUR code, that is understandable. AI also threatens our knowledge in the code that we make, an AI assistant was introduced to scratch and threatens the "trial & error" lifestyle that most of coders have been taught. ⯎Why we don't need to Worry⯎ Scratch added a "non-generative" thing that stops AI art from being uploaded onto the platform. Scratch also rejected the use of AI on their platform and are not getting AI on here any time soon until they hear more about what we think about it.
Overall we don't really need to worry about it, depending on who you are, you have different views of AI. I personally say no AI because of the harm it caused but I still use it for some things and ideas, but NEVER for my art.
