Her partner Lilith moved on shortly before the kits were born, and is entirely unaware that they exist. Mal herself died shortly after their birth so will mostly be parenting from the afterlife. Despite this, she will try to be supportive of her children (when she's not working to fulfill her countless oaths from said after life) though she will always be more like a big sister than a mother, encouraging them to take risks and be who they feel they should be rather than helping them make good decisions. In typical Mal fashion she has also assigned each kit a bird nickname, she will exclusively use this name for her children though they are not official names. She will not care about their spiritual choices but will expect them to achieve the powerful positions expected of their lineage.
