[Walk Straight North: Track Eight] ------- I have been on Scratch for over five years. I joined during COVID-19 and made projects while sitting through zoom calls with my teachers. And there has been a creeping feeling over the past year or so- I don't belong on this site anymore. It has stopped bringing me the same joy and whimsy, and someday soon I will log out for the rest of my life. This album is not goodbye yet- but I will be taking an extended hiatus for religious reasons (happy Lent BTW!) and will not be returning until after Easter-------- Lyrics: Someday I’ll walk out the door And on that day I will rejoice I’ll give you my crumpled daisy chains And jumping ropes and plastic rings Yes, my dear, that day will come With a blown kiss I’ll walk away Someday I will wave goodbye And send you postcards once a year Well wishes and tales of bliss With all the love I have for you Oh, my love, the end is soon Soon it comes for me to go Someday I will find the courage To confess the lies I told to you I know that it will break your trust Dim the lights, fill hearts with rust But someday it will come And then I’ll leave you standing there With broken posies, tangled hair With no regrets for my demise No tears will fall from any eyes Someday I’ll walk out the door And on that day I will rejoice I’ll give you my crumpled daisy chains And jumping ropes and plastic rings Yes, my dear, that day soon comes With a blown kiss I’ll walk away
