finally, a SWSRITIRU dub in, what, 2 months? full name: une étrange réforme orthographique qui n’est pas optimale now before you say that semivowel /w/ and /ø/ are wrong, lemme clear up some things 1. now, you’ll notice that /w/ looks a bit different. why is that? well, because it’s supposed to look like a O and a U combined, unlike spanish, which looks like just a U and W instead. 2. you’ll also notice that EU is also a bit different. now, in Spanish, EU is simply /e/ and /w/ combined. however, in french, it’s e+u combined. this is because, if the u part of eu is pronounced, like, /u/ or /w/, then e gets combined with ɯ. but if the u is pronounced different or merges with e, then it’s just e+u.
