CONTROLS- Use the arrow keys to move Spider Cat around and simulate the leg movements of a spider!

Many of the scripts were cut out and heavily edited in the video, so I had to do some guesswork as to what might've been there. The entire leg system relies on a concept known as inverse kinetics, combined with some trigonometry. After this, I improved on the movement system by using arrow keys instead of having it follow the mouse pointer. Some quick changes to the rotation style allowed Spider Cat's turning left and right. Eventually, I finally tackled collisions. I reused and edited scripts from my generic platformers to conform with the simulator. I had tried reusing slope collisions, but it was just far too many variables and custom blocks to edit, so I let that be for another day. I ended up adding a proper square hitbox too. Finally, I added details like a foregound, overlay, and some glow around Spider Cat, as well as fixing up the colours and level design to really make it look like a cave system. I then added the music track. Afterwards, I asked for help for slope collisions, and Scratcher kansea helped me out. And the project was done. TAGS- #untitled #spider #arachnids #insects
