Back when life wasn't so hard. I still live in the suburbs. I remember staring through the window, listening to the birds. Time moved slower then. We didn't care about anything. All we cared about were playgrounds and movies. Our parents telling us to finish our food at the dinner table. Our minds weren't corrupted yet. There was no brainrot. Just pure joy. We always thought that morning call was just an owl. When our cousins or friends came over, we begged for sleepovers. Back when our house felt enormous. Back when we went to bed early. Back when we wrote letters to Santa. Back when we hugged our parents and told them we loved them. Back when they surprised us with our favorite snacks. Back when we actually liked school. Back when naps were the worst thing in the world. Back when we ate vitamin gummies like candy. Back when bubble baths felt magical. Back when we didn’t care what we wore. Back when we danced without fear of embarrassment. Now, we wish we could go back. We still hear those birds. But now we understand them. They weren’t just singing. They were warning us. Warning us about how hard life would become. Back then, we didn’t know. Now, we know everything we never wanted to know. We’re wiser. Smarter. More mature. But at what cost? Time never stops. But... somehow... Our childhood did.
It's normal to want to go back. Everyone does. But you’ve got to push through, no matter what. Don’t let yourself think otherwise. That feeling you miss? You can feel it again. Take a break. You and I both need one. Relax. Think about your past, funny moments, serious moments, good memories, bad memories. It’s all part of you. Life doesn’t always go our way, and that’s okay. Everyone goes through it, even the famous, even the successful. Who says you can’t be next? Stress hits everyone. Throw it away for a moment. Let life rest. And when you’re ready, keep going. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Life will throw its hardest at you, but you’re stronger than that. Right now, just rest. Remember the old days. And then, when you’re ready, rise. You’ve got this. You will make mistakes, you will regret, and life will be hard. But so what? You still have time. You just gotta use it wisely. But calm yourself down first. And whatever you do, never quit. You're closer than you think you are. Trust me.
