(time taken ~5 hours) I didn't really come up with a full backstory for Hoku, but here's some facts: - One of their parents is from Hawaii (their name apparently means 'star' in Hawaiian), but they live and grew up in Germany - They got the scar on their elbow skateboarding - When they were in grade school, their class had a star walk during the night. They got so distracted looking up at the sky that their class left them behind - They're in uni for astrophysics, but in their spare time they make English Youtube videos about anything space-related - They're super into astronomy, but also really enjoy fashion and music! - They're pretty cheerful and extroverted, but will overwork a lot of the time Ok now to yap about the art I wanted to show off the fullbody design but didn't want to just have them standing, so I tried to do a pose I don't have that much experience in. It took me like 2.5 hours just for the sketch, but I think it turned out well especially without a reference lol The rendering was also pretty rough, I'm not completely happy with it but I think the secondary lighting really saved it.
