i was always super scared of going to cons in middle school and then i went to my first one in 2022 and since then i’ve been fortunate enough to go to a few each year if you’re really geeky and down to make new friends or show off your cosplay i would definitely recommend going to one! for me at least they’re usually a blast (i only went to one that sucked cause there was low attendance plus i was kinda sick)
