Once it reaches the current room, If you aren't hiding it will home in on you and explode, dealing 3 HP worth of damage to instantly killing you. If you didn't die from this, you will be incased in ice for 6-10 seconds, leaving you more vulnerable to other entities. The ice will soon thaw and you can continue on your journey.
