Lore Changes: A major lore change would be that past the Outer Expanse, there would be another Iterator named Tenth Reasons For Storms. A Iterator who was damaged by vultures, so instead of normal rain, it's a huge electrical storm. TRFS would create a slugcat that would prey upon vultures. But the plan would backfire, for the Falconer, instead of hunting vultures, would work together to hunt lizards. When the Falconer would eventually go missing, the Dollop would be created. Tenth Reasons For Storms was upset in the disappearance of the Falconer, so they created the Dollop to go and find them. The SCUGS: The Falconer: Description: A pale cream fluffy slugcat who has red feathers along their tail and arms. Their face is obscured by a vulture mask. Gameplay: An opening cutscene would play, showing the Falconer playing with the vultures, then a storm would sweep the Falconer down off of the side of it's Iterator, Tenth Reasons For Storms. The Falconer would then wake in a shelter far from its superstructure, with a baby Miros Vulture. The core gameplay would consist of you taking care of a baby miros vulture, having to feed it and keep it safe from harm. Once you were to bring back the Vulture nest on the top of TRFS, a cutscene would play, showing the Falconer with the Vulture all happy. This would be the first ending, the untrue ending. The second ending would be to try and ascend, the Falconer would be helped by the void worm, but then as they would ascend, they would slowly turn into an echo. An ending cutscene would play where the Vulture nest at the top of TRFS would be empty, and in a flash of light, an echo would appear. Core Mechanic: If the baby were to die, all vultures would become hostile and chase you down. And you would not need to fail a cycle in order to continue (like you would need to for the rarefaction cell in the rivulet's campaign), just sleeping would re-spawn the baby. The Falconer would have the ability to glide long distances and jump high, but they would be a slow runner and throw spears poorly. They also would struggle to swim, as their feathers would weigh them down. All vultures would be passive unless attacked, including Miros vultures. But all lizard types would be untameable and would chase the Falconer down if seen. Though, lizards are more likely to flee if injured. The Falconer can eat both vulture and lizard bodies. (except the baby.) The Voidling: Description: A dark teal slugcat with a golden diamond pattern all over their body. They have karma flowers growing all over their tail. Gameplay: The Voidling would travel to FP, LTTM, and TRFS to try and figure out how to ascend. All Iterators would have no idea how to help the slugcat, so the Voidling would travel to the void temple, but needing the lowest karma. Once the slugcat would reach the void sea, a cutscene would play where the reflection of the slugcat would appear to be an echo. the cutscene would then end. (I am insinuating that the slugcat was an echo this whole time.) Core Mechanic: Monk stats. The Voidling cannot lose karma by dying, instead, after every successful cycle, their karma rises if no creatures were k!lled, and lowers if any were. As the Voidling cannot k!ll without their karma suffering, they have two abilities to help them. karma flowers last one extra cycle (2 in total), and when the Voidling is incapacitated, a loud sound (Saint's ascension burst SFX) plays, and all creatures near them instantly become stunned for 5 seconds, dropping the Voidling and lowering the karma level unless if you ate a karma flower, then the karma shield is lost. This ability would have a cool down of a minute and a half as well as not even occurring if you were at the lowest karma. On the start of random cycles, a karma flower may fall off of your tail, you can then eat it, reinforcing your current karma level. The Dollop: Description: a white Slugcat with teal and pink stripes all over their body. They have a heart-shaped mark on their forehead and a Vulture mask with feathers. Gameplay: the campaign starts at TRFS's can, being told the goal by TRFS. The Dollop's goal would be to visit all the echoes in the game. And eventually when they would return to TRFS's surface, they would find an echo that was once the Falconer. you would then have to ascend Dollop, and an ending cutscene shows them becoming an echo and existing for eternity (or however long echoes do last :P) with the other echo. with the final image showing TRFS all alone in the can. Core Mechanics: Would have normal survivor stats except having the Hunter's spear throw and damage and the Monk's run speed. They would be able to climb poles and tunnels faster than normal. All lizards would be friendly to the Dollop unless attacked, but vultures would actively prey upon Dollop if seen. They could also only eat plants.
CONTINUATION OF DOLLOP: The Dollop has strawberry lizard genes, and as such, can use a long tongue like a grappling hook to launch themselves in any direction. The tongue works like a strawberry lizards, not like Saint's. The Pesticide: Description: The Pesticide is a slugcat that is covered in red centipede armor. it has a yellow scrap of cloth that covers its face. When the slugcat is Infested, they close their eyes and start to constantly shake, the more shaking indicates how long the state will last, less shaking indicates the time is almost up. When the slugcat is Supercharged, their eyes grow small, and the tail lights up even more, with sparks flying off. their belly lights up with three dots, the dots indicate how long the timer has left, the more dots, the more time. Gameplay: The gameplay would consist of the slugcat exploring a fallen piece of a superstructure (TRFS), where they would fall down into a deep hole, just right above the void. the story would be the Pesticide trying to climb back up. going through many trials and tribulations to reach the surface. The Pesticide is able to ascend, as they start the game with the mark of communication. Core Mechanic: The pesticide can deliver an electric shock to creatures by picking them up, you can also then maul them. (2 shocks in the normal state, 1 for the infested state, and 3 for the supercharged state.) The pesticide will be stunned and violently convulse if it comes into contact with a spore puff, after which, the slugcat will go into the "infested" state, where it has slowed speed and better spear damage and mauling deals 5 times the damage, but you can only shock once. The infested state only lasts about a minute, then having a 1:30 cooldown. The Pesticide is immune to the damage of centipede shocks, even in water. getting shocked puts the Pesticide into a "supercharged" state, where the slugcat can more extremely fast, but spear throws and mauling deal minuscule damage. This state lasts around a minute and unlike the cooldown for the infected state, there is no cooldown for the supercharged state. While in the supercharged state, the Pesticide can do 3 shocks instead of the normal 2. The supercharged state and its effects will always override the infested state. More Lore: Due to the decay of Tenth Reasons For Storms's superstructure, the communications array has failed, and they don't know of the plight of LTTM or FP. TRFS was one of the first Iterators made, as such, they don't have a city on top of them. And despite the old age, they have mostly maintained a good shape. (Until the vultures started to roost.) The roosting vultures and the "creation" of the Overhang are moderately recent compared to the creation of the two slugcats. Despite the purposes the Falconer and Dollop were created for, TRFS hates that they both have disappeared, and they've ended up feeling all alone. And the labs where both scugs were made have begun to fail, and no more purposed organisms can be made. The Pesticide is not known to the other slugcats or TRFS, rather, they are a wandering stray, who simply fell into the rubble of TRFS. The reason Falconer fails to ascend, is that they have bonded with the vultures. The reason Dollop can't ascend is that it was trained to try and find the Falconer, so, its life goal holds it back. The Voidling was an unnamed slugcat who must have ascended a while before Falconer and Dollop. they are simply reliving their life up until the point they try to ascend, trapped in a cycle. And the Pesticide is a purposed organism made by an unnamed iterator. maybe you can piece together the pesticides's backstory from context clues. Press Spacebar or Click on the sprite to move on. Don't worry about pressing on the Slugcat, as the sprite spans the whole screen. Dollop: Originally made by @UltimaWerewolfAmber , gifted to me. Go check them out!
