+ click or space for different versions + 1. original 2. title w/ a little squiggle behind it 3. no title 4. first draft with conifers that i eventually painted over cuz they looked less fitting :P yap: i was lowkey going to enter with the conifer version out of laziness but i decided to quickly change the trees and it highkey looks better now? still too dark, it needs more contrast. shes only a tiny shade lighter than the bg :') couldn't really figure out how to add more highlights to seperate her from the background dunno if people can tell but ive been experimenting with actually rendering fur! i used to be too scared to try because of that one common tip to "not draw out every single strand of hair/fur". i essentially only did cell shading on multiply for a few years until more recently when i made a lil drawing for my friends b-day. messily drawing out small clumps of fur is fun, highly recommend, ive been experimenting a whole lot :3 think im getting better with backgrounds tho. usually, id try and just color the trees plain green and brown, but decide that since the forest should look "shadowy and dark", i'd lean more into the blues but now the WHOLE piece looks very blue lol the colors of the character and background blended together a bit too much, there should've been more contrast in some places but i think it still looks fine :) very fun piece, i really enjoy contests :D drew the ear tufts in the sketch cuz theyre cutesy, and i forgot to get rid of them waaaa found a great crossover fic, im genuinely not in either fandoms but its real peak, news very worth sharing :3 everyone should listen to laufeys new song btw!
