Nothing ever comes to mind whenever I'm brainstorming ideas for what to do with the main plot of Distant Voices. [2] However, that doesn't mean there's absolutely nothing to Distant Voices. I have all these ideas about all these side plots and background plots that are taking place. Idea after idea after idea and now at this point, I'd say that they are way more developed than the "main plot." [3] So... I have a question. Should I, make these side / background plots main plots where they're now the foreground and not the background? I'd have a lot more motivation to put them out and you'd get a great story out of them. If so, which would you prefer? [A] A dark and broody story where the protagonist is met with unwarranted hate for being the spawn of an infamous cat? (CONTENT WARNING: it does involve death and other unmentionables) Results: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1283874709/ [B] The story of a clan's collapse told from the perspective of the Deputy who's suspicious of their leader's actions. (Less developed but has some potential and funny scenes.) [C] The story of a tragic character who looses everything trying to keep her family together. (This is not a comedy. This is a tragedy, and a sad one at that. If you don't know what that means, just know, you won't get a happy ending here.) Heads up though, you won't be able to communicate to these characters like Whitepaw... Psst, you've already gotten a glimpse of at least one of them in the chapters I've released.
10 for B 3 for C 0 for A ... It funny to me that the one I put the most thought into gets no votes. HAHA ha aa... It's fine, everything is fine, this is what happens when you ask the audience for input. I shouldn't be surprised. It's a dark-ish story near the end. It's not like I wouldn't censor for Scratch reasons. (Why am I writing this) Anyway I guess I can have fun making fun interactions. I'll try and do it right.
