Anything here is ok to negotiate/adjust! ^^ TRUFFLEKIT ╰┈➤ [AMAB ⸝⸝ 9.5 in.] ❝ you look like me , little mushroom ❞ Truffle rests atop a rock, multi-colored eyes wide. he’s much like his mother, especially in colors. he got his blue eyes from Smolder, unfortunately, but that doesn’t decrease from his looks! his tan pelt is striped in blacks and various shades of yellows and browns. his tail, paw tips, and neck are black, and two black stripes fall from his gaze. his nose is encircled in a light brown-orange, followed by a bridge of a darker brown. ⅰ. Hello, I'm @Birdthatdrawz! go by Birb :D ⅱ. I enjoy art and running, and I have a lovely bean of my own at home, an Shorthair cat named Robert He's recently starting his outdoor life as well, but now he begs and is getting fat lol. *realizes bio is supposed to be about me* oops. Anyways, I love coding and animals and stuff. AuroraClan was really boring because nobody's doing anything. I've been waiting 4 weeks for my apprentice ceremony so I quit, seeking rp elsewhere. ⅲ. I am generally very active, usually at least 2 hours/day. ⅳ. I will keep Truffle until fate rips him from my grasp :skull: ⅴ. I'm an experienced writer, and I do RPGs irl, including D&D and BITD. I have done AuroraClan and am doing TENRP on Scratch, but if I am accepted this will be my first time with Generations! ⅵ. He reminds me of my [offed by raccoon] cat, Paisley. Other than that his design is beautiful and I think I could work with him well! ⅶ. I think I should have the kit because I am an experienced role player, though not in Generations/on Scratch. I love warrior cats/writing, and I will love Truffle like my own bean・ω・ Also I promise not to make him a Gary Sue, I hate it when people do that. It makes it so hard to rp with their cat bc its frustrating to have a flawed interaction and they are just perfect or smt :( ⅷ. Personality Basic Personality (identify/categorize traits): [+] Patient, adaptable, selfless, encouraging [=] Analytical, reserved, hesitant, hyper, mischievous [-] Indecisive, low confidence, distractable Detailed Personality (identify pros/cons, apply to life, outline when in his life and how this especially applies): [+] Positive Traits Analysis a. Patient Truffle is very patient. He used to sit for hours near the entrance, waiting for the patrols to come back so he could ask infinite questions about the outside world and other clans. This makes him good at hide-and-seek as a kit but his siblings have shorter attention spans and will give up and forget he is still hiding :cri: (used to happen to me lol) Also this will likely come in handy if he becomes a mentor :D b. Adaptable Truffle is enthusiastic and sees obstacles as opportunities to find a new way to do things. He is flexible to new ideas and tasks, and is always trying to find new ways to do things. This is both useful and a burden as an apprentice, as he is flexible and not easily discouraged, but reluctant to do things the "right" way. However, he sometimes struggles to figure out what he wants because he changes gears so easily. c. Selfless Truffle cares about others a lot, and will often sacrifice what he wants. He does have a lot of people-pleaser tendencies, and has trouble with helping himself. He loves to make others happy, and sees it as pleasing himself by pleasing others. d. Encouraging Truffle is very supportive of the cats around him. He finds failure as an opportunity to find a new way around a problem, and when his friends and siblings become discouraged, he tries to build them up again with his determination. He tries to help cats work through their problems. This trait will be useful a bit later in life as well, as a father cheering on his kit or a mentor helping his apprentice get up again. [=] Neutral Traits Analysis e. Analytical Truffle likes reasoning. He figures there is a logical explanation for everything, and he tries to find it. In general, he reasons with other cats when he thinks what they are doing doesn't make sense. Often his siblings would get annoyed with him because when he was in a bad mood, he would explain why their games didn't make sense. He also got upset easily as a kit when other kits would say something that made no sense, like they were a badger or had superpowers or something. Additionally, he loves to learn about the world, asking questions and exploring new places as much as he can. He likes to watch older cats interact, and has learned to watch other cats from a distance and almost immediately know what they were talking about or doing based on body language and other clues. f. Reserved Truffle does not like to interact much, and while he played with others all the time as a kit, he is awkward and typically does not choose to engage with others. He does try to inform other cats if they have false information or are curious, but generally isn't intentionally social. He prefers quiet and non-crowded settings, and tries to avoid social events. (n+c)
(application continued, at exactly max chars in desc) g. Hyper/fidgety Truffle has trouble staying still for long periods of time. Often he is seen fidgeting, pacing or biting his tail, especially when he gets nervous. He doesn't have a condition; he's just awkward and needs to distract himself from socializing. Mostly it's just anxious habit. h. Mischievous Mostly as a kit/apprentice, Truffle has a sneaky side that can sometimes be brought out by his siblings or a close friend. He used to play tricks on the older warriors sometimes, and was a very sneaky boi >:3 As he gets older he is much more serious, but the right cat can sometimes bring it out in him... [-] Negative Traits Analysis i. Indecisive As I touched on in the Adaptable section, Truffle often has trouble making decisions. He usually goes along with whatever others want, but he makes a decision for himself, he second-guesses his thoughts and feelings. He doubts his own decisions, and his flexibility toward situations makes him question his own opinions. j. Low confidence/Self-doubt Truffle is not very assertive, and he doubts a lot of his thoughts and decisions. This will not be very helpful during assessments in apprenticeship, or on the other end of training if he becomes a mentor. He loves facts and likes to teach others, but struggles to trust in his own beliefs or skills, leading to a lot of insecurity. k. Distractable Though he has a long attention span if something interests him, Truffle tends to get distracted easily. His ability to easily switch gears sometimes overrules his attention span and easy hyperfixation. This may be a challenge for him if he is a mentor, because if his apprentice asks about something else during his training, he might completely forget his plans for training :P ⅸ. Trivia! ⅺ. Research :) This was actually pretty fun because I am a nerd. Also I love science, genetics, and ofc cats! Also the subject fascinated me, and I already investigated the subject out of curiosity. If I need more research or you would like me to go more in-depth about how it applies to the char specifically, rather than just the genetics and such! Basically, the y and or x chromosomes in a cat’s body determine its gender. Females have two x chromosomes, and males have an x and a y chromosome. Typically there are only two (well technically there are 38 but only two determine gender), and having three can cause disorders such as down syndrome. X chromosomes also determine the pigment in a cat’s fur. With females (XX), one typically carries orange/brown and the other black. One color is deactivated randomly in each area. X-inactivation means different patches of fur show different colors. However, with males (XY) they have only one X chromosome, so they are usually just one color (solid black or another color). Therefore, calico or tortoiseshell cats are very rare. (White cats get their fur color from an unrelated gene. A cat's coat color comes from both parents, but the specific inheritance pattern differs for males and females, especially concerning orange/black colors, which are linked to the X chromosome. Female kittens (XX) get one color gene from each parent, while male kittens (XY) get their color gene from their mother only, as the Y chromosome doesn't carry color information. This is why tortoiseshells are nearly always female, and male babies almost always have a solid version of a color on their mother’s fur. Sometimes, male cats have Klinefelter Syndrome, which is when a male cat has an extra X chromosome. It causes male cats to have a tortoiseshell or calico coat. Cats with this disability might have increased body fat, diabetes, and joint pain. This also almost always causes severe infertility or sterility in male cats. (side note: can truffle have a family tho? its technically possible and i would like him to settle with somebody) @-Sage_and_Lavender- is the litter host and the OORP identity of the mother, Hollysting.
