For the next couple of days, it was hard for Dex to take his mind off the matchmaking. Even working on his inventions couldn’t not remind him of the upcoming event. He wasn’t even paying attention when Keefe was telling him about his newest prank idea in the library . “……and then dame Alina will get so freaked out! She might put me in detention, but it’ll be so worth it!……..dex?” Keefe said, waving his hand his hand in Dex’s face. “Dex, you there, buddy?” Dex blinked. “Oh uh, yeah, sorry.” He replied. Keefe snorted. “It’s ok, Dexy. Oh yeah, by the way, I know a CERTAIN SOMEONE was looking for you” Keefe said, a bit too loudly. Dex felt his face turn red. “Biana?” He whispered. Keefe nodded, a smirk on his face. “Hey, speaking of Biana..” Keefe said “..there she is” He was right! Biana was walking over to them, a mischievous smile on her face. He raised an eyebrow. “Something I should know?” She tried to hold in her laughter. “I have something I want to show you! Come on!” Biana grabbed his hand and pulled him through a hallway. Dex blushed at the gesture, but confusion took hold as he wondered what she got into this time. He gasped as she took out a blue glimmering gemstone. “A leaping crystal?!” He blurted, his eyes wide. Biana shushed him. “Keep your voice down!” Dex ignored her “Where—how did you even get it?” She shrugged. “‘Stole it from my dad’s office.” Dex wanted to be mad at her, but he was honestly impressed and fascinated by her. “I really want to see what the forbidden cities look like. I feel like everybody’s gone besides me” He caught a glint of mischief Biana’s eyes as she spoke, “ what do you say? Wanna come with me?” Dex didn’t want both of them to get in trouble, but he also knew no wasn’t an answer. “…Yes,” Biana squealed “Hooray!” She said, and held the crystal to the light. before Dex could tell her she no idea what she was doing, they leaped through the blue shine and into the forbidden cities.
