︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵ Q1: What's your favourite genre/genres? A: Fantasy and romantasy with a few mysteries here and there :3 Q2: Have you ever finished writing a story? A: *shamelessly* NOPE!!! :D Q3: First person POV, second person POV, or third person POV? A: I used to write in 3rd, but it just felt really wrong to me, and since I've switched to 1st I think my writing got a lot better! (not to criticize 3rd, it just wasn't for me) Q4: Do you have a favourite author? If so, who? A: Katherine Rundell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also Tui T. Sutherland (for WoF) and Kieran Larwood (for Podkin One-Ear) tied at a close second! Q5: Do you want to be a writer when you're older? A: I definitely want to publish, but I don't want it to be my full-time job (I hate deadlines lol). Q6: Do you have any advice for writers? If so, what is it? A: Try new stuff, like switching point of view or tense (you'll be surprised how fun it can be!!!). Also STOP PLANNING and EDITING EVERYTHING just WRITE!!! (I still struggle with that lol). Q7: When it comes to writing, are you a perfectionist? A: you have no idea... *first draft is one single page, but with spotlessly perfect grammar, spelling, and sentence structure* Q8: Have you shared a story on scratch before? A: a very, very short one, yes! I'm planning to get some Warriors and WoF fanfic out into the world, too! :3 Q9: What's your favourite plot structure? (7 point plot structure, hero's journey plot structure, etc) A: the 15-beat structure detailed in Jessica Brody's book, Save the Cat! Writes a Novel. Q10: What's your inspiration? A: Dungeons & Dragons and random roleplaying with my bestie [not on scratch] Q11: Do you like making graphic novels/comics? A: YES!!! But I won't be sharing my *really* good stuff on Scratch Q12: Poetry, or story writing? A: STORY FOR LIFE. Q13: Fiction or non-fiction? A: Non-fiction is my favorite thing to write *for school* but for free writing, FICTION FOR LIFE!!! Q14: What's your favourite book/series? A: Impossible Creatures for book and Warriors for series (I spent so long agonizing over this lol). Q15: Do you believe in writers block? A: In Emily Hainsworth's words, "There's no such thing as writer's block or plotter's block. There's only perfectionist's block." Q16: What about reader's block? A: Like when you can't read? Yeah I have reader's block at time of writing Q17: Do you like putting references in your stories? (references to other books, a movie, songs, etc) A: OMG YES. I have put SO many subtle little IYKYK references to my favorite songs lol. (almost named a character Titaniumkit in my fanfic...) Q18: Do you like writing chapter books? A: Novels with chapters? Yes. Frog and Toad kind of books? Never. Q19: Realistic fiction or unrealistic fiction? A: Unrealistic all the way! Q20: Have you ever written a character based on someone in real life? A: All my characters are aspects of me, in a way! Q21: Do you give MBTI personality types to your characters? A: nope! :D I just plan out their flaws and then do the rest lol Q22: Writing in a notebook or writing on google docs? A: Digitally, but starting a notebook tomorrow! Q23: What do you think is the best thing for someone to do when they get writers block? A: Don't agonize over getting everything perfect. The first draft is ALWAYS really, REALLY bad lol. Just get it down on the page and give your future self something to revise! Q24: When did you realize you wanted to be a writer? A: When my bestie's book came out and I was like, "aughghghlkjlk I have to do it TOO!" Q25: Do you have a lot of OCs? A: All of my characters are OCs - that makes at least 70 oops Continued UwU
Q26: Do you have a lot of stories you are writing? A: Sadly, all my stories play in a Ghibli animation style in my mind, so they're pretty hard to get down on paper. But yes, at least 20 in the same universe that I plan to publish eventually, along with 5-7 that I'm working on with my non-Scratching friend :) Q27: What's the most difficult part of planning a story? A: Getting the inciting event and moment of despair impactful enough :P Q28: Do you do journaling? A: *shamelessly* NOPE!! :D Q29: Do you write in one specific way/theme, or lots of different ways/themes? e.g. fantasy, third person, non-fiction, first person, second person, fiction, etc A: First person, present tense romantasy is my JAM! Q30: Do you find it hard to write the first chapter/ prologue? A: I always know what to put in the prologue! I hat3 the first chapter though TvT Q31: Have you drawn your characters before? A: ALL of them <3 Q32: Have you roleplayed with your characters before? A: Like a quarter of my characters started in Dungeons & Dragons (an RPG), and half came from playing with my bestie when I was seven, and another quarter came from playing Pokemon videogames... so yeah? Q33: Do you think you take way too long planning what to write instead of actually writing? A: OMG YES Q34: What's your favourite part when editing? A: Sadly, I have literally never edited a finished story, so... the thrill of a new experience I guess xD Q35: What's your least favourite part when editing? A: I just know that I'll take way too long agonizing over every single detail, like I do with everything else... ever... :P Q36: How long have you been writing? A: I've been free writing for REAL since maybe... early 2025? Q37: Have you tried writing in a new way before? A: I've changed POVs from 3rd to 1st and it's really helped my writing! Q38: What, in your opinion, is the most fun theme to write about? (not genre. A theme is like war, coming of age, good vs evil, family, etc) A: Romance, war, acceptance of self, coming of age, friendship (when your character is antisocial, friendship can be quite a riot) Q39: Have you written characters with sad backstories? A: When I was seven, like all my characters were orphans lol. Today, maybe half of my active characters have tragedies in their backstories, but they're really different so it's not too obvious :D Q40: Have you ever written yourself in a story? A: As mentioned above, my characters are all aspects of myself, so technically you could say that! Q41: Do you usually unintentionally make a side character more interesting than a main character? A: Rarely (I plan out my characters to be very compelling before I even start a story) If I do, I just make the side character a main character and rewrite the whole thing >:3 Q42: Have you ever written a character as something other than a human? A: I mainly write high fantasy and Warriors, Wings of Fire, and Pokemon fanfiction (Bulbasaur my love!) so like... out of my *cough* totally less than 100 of characters... maybe five are human? Q43: Have you ever written the main character as the villain before? A: I'm not interested in that at the moment :P Q44: What's your favourite things to put in stories? (things you personally find entertaining to read/write) A: Awesome girls, cats, romance, nerds, and dragons :D Q45: Have you written romance before? A: THAT'S VIRTUALLY ALL I WRITE XD Q46: Do you put life lessons in your stories? A: My characters learn life lessons in their arcs, but they're not obvious (in fact, I enjoy hiding them >:) Q47: What's your favourite character from a book? A: I can't decide between Yellowfang from Warriors, Deathbringer from WoF, and Jacques from Impossible Creatures... I love them all so much X3 Q48: Writing or drawing? A: PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE XD Q49: Writing or reading? A: See previous question lmao Q50: Have you written a main character as the complete opposite of you before? A: Yep! I have exactly THREE characters like that (all extroverted bards whom I call the Bards of Shamelessness) and they are REALLY, REALLY hard for me to write about! ︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶ UwU
