West of the city of Kamenograd, an attack by Nationalist forces severed the Alpenian supply lines, causing major distribution problems, as well as the slowly growing " Green Fever " in Alpenian troops resulted in mass chaos. At approximately 0700 hours, the 20th Alpenian Airborne Brigade advanced on the town of Vakylosov, where Nationalist forces were reportedly located. Upon approach, the routes into the town were found to be extensively mined and trapped, resulting in the loss of 18 Alpenian soldiers. Consequently, the ground assault on Vakylosov was suspended, and the town was instead subjected to bombardment by adjacent artillery units. Approximately two hours subsequent, the 20th Airborne Brigade initiated its assault, achieving significant gains within minutes. However, upon approaching a prominent apartment complex, intense machine gun fire erupted, forcing the 20th's soldiers to seek cover behind abandoned vehicles. The apartment complex was filled by heavily armed Nationalist forces which were determined to defend the town of Vakylosov, Alpenian troops were held down, with air support being temporarily unavailable due to weather issues, the 20th Airborne were forced to storm the complex on foot. Two groups ran to the back of the building, throwing explosives into the windows, as soon as the grenades detonated, another team stormed the doors, taking down 6 Nationalist soldiers in just seconds, the second group then followed, throwing flashbangs simultaneously, the complex was successfully cleared. Stashes of ammo and explosives were present in the apartment, as well as information of next attacks on Alpenian and Vespacian units, the Battle of Vakylosov has ended with an astounding victory for the 20th Airborne.
