I love all of these starters personally. My 1# is definitely Pombon, my 2# is probably Browt, depending on the final evolution, and 3# is Gecqua, cool but not my favorite. Honestly the starters are all hits and I can see all 3 being fan favorites. In the notes and credits I'll explain why I love or hate them.
Browt. Browt is pretty cool, I like how the eyebrows like like Angry Birds and another Grass Owl isn't terrible if executed properly. I could see this being a very cool starter if it doesn't try and copy Decidueye. A unique idea would do this Pokemon greatly. I like how it has puffy feathers that might be a feature in the final design. One of the criticisms I have is that this Pokemon better keep the puffiness, otherwise, great design. I'd imagine this Pokemon would have relatively good bulk with a good attack stat and decent speed, it'd probably be lacking in Special Attack and Speed more than the others, but I good see a very fast bulky Pokemon or fast sweeper here too. Pombon. This is overall my favorite for multiple reasons. It's very fluffy and really cute, I like it's little ember hair at the top and it, in my opinion, will probably be the fan favorite on ONE CONDITION. IT MUST STAY FOUR LEGGED, IT HAS TO, PLEASE GAME FREAK I'M BEGGING YOU! I don't mind humanoid Pokemon, but not this good boy not him. I also used to have a Pomeranian so in a way I just love him automatically. I think he'll be a fast special attacker, but I can also really see him being a bulky special attacker or maybe a physical attacker. Gecqua. It may be my least favorite, but that doesn't mean it's not good. I like the potential for it. The only thing is, the resemblance to Sobble is pretty insane, I feel like if it stays on 4 legs or has a completely different design it'll be good. It's little eyelashes and the smug look are pretty cool and I like the little tail, the head bugs me a bit with that shape but it's fine. I could see this being a fast special attacker, I can't really see this being a physical attacker it's a bit too specially if yk what I mean, probably an all around Special Def/Atk with some decent speed but maybe low attack and defense.
