it was called 'foreverflame' and my pen name was twinklita </3 its all a wip, i didnt even finish the prologue before i started chapter 1 lol Chapter 0 - Prologue In the imaginary world of DafsVine, where every kingdom’s name was goofy and where every fox lived together in peace (somewhat?), there was a kingdom called Moriyall. The kingdom of Moriyall was ruled by a king named Blaze, Blaze had ruled the kingdom for about 3,000 years, which was an unusually long time because most foxes in Dafsvine only have a lifespan of 80 years and the king had been crowned as king at 10 years old. King Blaze had fallen ill on an unfortunate day, he knew he would soon pass, so he had called his 14 children into his palace, as he lay sick on his throne. “My dear children!” he called, raising his head slightly “Please, father, is this at all important?” said his oldest daughter, Twilight “Yes, my child, it is important!” “I sense that my end is near, my children” responded the king “The end is near?” “How would you know? You are just a foolish king” said his oldest son “Yes! What Burn said is true!” called his youngest daughter “Silence! Our father is not foolish but it is you who is foolish, brother!” yelped his youngest son. The king simply chuckled “Oh, my children! I must speak! I have brought you all here for a reason.” Burn rolled his eyes. “I know my passing will come soon. So, I have put my 14 amulets on the table in the dining hall. You each get one and only one.” said the king, he began to cough. His children rushed to the dining hall Chapter 1 - The Queen’s Orders The autumn leaves swooped in the wind, the morning dew softly hit Peridot’s face, and suddenly a deep voice came out of nowhere “You, there! Underling”, it called. “I beg your pardon?” replied Peridot, her face twisting with bewilderment. The voice groaned and out came from the bushes a red fox, covered in scars and certainly not a kit because of his large size, he seized Peridot by the tail, and she yelped loudly. “What on earth do you think you’re doing? Grabbing me by the tail?” she said digging her claws into the wet soil “Queen’s orders” the larger fox groaned “Are you a guard?” Peridot asked “Yes, now, please, be quiet” and replied the guard “Where are you taking me? The palace?” demanded Peridot, the guard didn’t answer. After a few minutes, they reached the Queen’s palace, it was periwinkle and was bejeweled in sapphires & diamonds. They entered the humongous palace, the entrance had an aquamarine blue carpet, and it was feathery and felt soft against Peridot’s paws. The queen’s throne was a few heads high, and the queen’s yellow eyes were staring at Peridot, filled with rage. The Guard let go of Peridot’s tail and lowered his head, bowing, closing his fierce & vicious light brown eyes, and strolling to the door. A few minutes later, 2 other guards came into the throne room, dragging a fox kit. Once the guards let go of the pup that they were dragging, they also proceeded to bow and exit. The other 2 kits bowed, followed by Peridot’s very gauche bow. “Your Majesty, what has caused you to summon us?” said one of the kits, raising his head “You 3 kits, have been granted a duty, a very important task,” the queen began, coughing “A task that requires much knowledge, bravery & loyalty, that is why I brought all 3 of you here. Your task is to find the mage, Zircon’s magical amulet.” She said “But your Majesty, Zircon’s amulet was destroyed centuries ago and was broken into pieces and well, er- I don’t mean to question your wisdom but even if we did put the broken pieces together, it most likely won’t produce any magic,” said the fox kit, his nose high. “I beg your pardon, young kit?” “I KNOW that if you kits put it together, it won’t produce any magic but the concept is that once you retrieve the pieces and give them to me, I’ll get my royal mage to put them together because he has a magical touch.” The Queen said, “If you wouldn't mind me asking, Your Majesty um- why do you need the amulet to be put back together?” responded the kit, lowering his nose in fright, “Well, first things first, actually, I DO MIND YOU ASKING!” roared the queen “And second things second, IT IS ABSOLUTELY NONE OF YOUR IMBECILIC BUSINESS!” “NOW, SCRAM, YOU UNDERLINGS!” she growled and threw a map at them, Peridot caught it. The sun faded behind the tall mountains, and the moon began to rise into sight, leaving the pups in the moonlight-covered forest. “So, when are we gonna start this whole epic quest thing?” asked Peridot, her glistening eyes glued to the sky “We could start tomorrow” replied Ember, lying down on the leaves, causing a crunching sound that was muffled by his thick fur “Sounds good” replied Peridot. Jade seemed to have already dozed off. They woke up the next morning, the sky a light orange, and the sun was still rising, there were almost no clouds visible in the orange sky. “Welp, let’s get to finding the amulet!” said Jade.
After a few hours, they ventured into Harlow Woods. “Wow! I can barely believe this place is real! It’s massive!” said Peridot, there was a loud rustle from behind a group of trees, and the 3 kits leaped back, suddenly, a Tibetan fox walked out from behind the trees, she was soon followed by a sechuran fox. “Who are you?” said Ember, taking a few more steps back, “Oh, my apologies, we didn’t mean to scare you,” said the red fox “It’s fine, but can you answer the question?” said Jade, “Oh, sure! My name’s Clover,” “and this is Willow” he said turning his head toward the white fox. “Clover! I told you not to tell random strangers our names!” Willow said, rolling her eyes. “So, do you guys need something here? Or is it something else…” Willow said, clearly paranoid. “Well, we’re looking for an amulet,” said Peridot, “Parts of an amulet”, corrected Jade. Clover moved slightly closer, “What does the amulet look like?”, “It has a blue gem and a silver chain” responded Peridot, suddenly, loud rustling came from the bushes, A pampas fox, slightly larger than Clover & Willow stepped out of the bushes, “Willow! Clover!” yelped the fox “Look at what I found!” “Oh, hey, River!” said Clover “What’d you find?”. “I found some food for us to eat!” exclaimed River “Who are these newlings?”. Suddenly, a strange sound came from behind the trees, almost like paw steps. A hunter stepped out from the trees. River, Willow & Clover began sprinting, “RUN!” howled Willow. Ember and Jade sprinted behind them, Leaving Peridot alone, with the menacing hunter. Peridot knew she couldn’t run, so she let out a piercing screech. The hunter took a few steps back, it pulled something out from behind its back, it was a long object, kind of like a stick but smoother, and it had a little black thing attached to the handle. Peridot took this opportunity to run lmk if it should finish it lol
