" Following Seraph's Halo's return to The Angel's Choir, she resumes her authority as the Virtuoso – now with two empty disciple roles beneath her. Deciding she needs to take more.. cautious means, of selecting her successors, the Trial of Olympia comes to be. The Trial of Olympia is an event that will last three weeks! Each week will pose a new competition to the members of The Choir, with those aiming for the role of disciple able to use it as an opportunity to show their skill and devotion. The Trial of Olympia begins on March 1st, 2026, and will end on March 22nd, 2026. · · ────── ꒰ঌ·✦·໒꒱ ────── · · OOC INFORMATION The trials are both a means for me to select new disciples, as well as hopefully bring up activity and establish more fun dynamics within the Choir! Though the outcome of many of the trials are based on rolling, IC success is only a minor part of the OORP selection. When selecting a disciple OORP, engagement and interest with the Choir and this event is going to be considered far more than IC performance, about 70% and 30% respectively. By participating, unless stated otherwise, you're automatically entered into consideration for the role of disciple! However, if you're selected at the end and decide you don't want the position, you'll be informed privately before anything is announced in case you wish to decline. · · ────── ꒰ঌ·✦·໒꒱ ────── · · IRP INFORMATION ♬ Trial of Teeth | 03/01 to 03/07 The first week is a test of combat skills. During this trial, anyone in the Choir may challenge another member to a fight – adults may only challenge adults, and apprentice-aged characters may only challenge apprentice-aged characters. Fighting those outside the Choir does not count towards this trial. Wins are determined by rolls – whoever gets the higher number. Upon winning, you'll earn a point. If you'd like to challenge yourself, you can request to try for extra points up to 5 at the cost of a lower chance of winning. At the end of the week, the character with the most points will receive a headpiece featuring gladiolus flowers, fashioned by Seraph's Halo herself. During this trial, Choir members will complete to bring in as much outside information about the Clans as possible. Intel must be collected from another player character with their permission. Each piece of intel is worth 1-3 points depending on what it is – gossip is worth one, gossip involving high ranks/important figures/clan relationships/etc. is worth two, and direct clan intel is worth three. Threads do not need to be completed to be counted towards points, but they must have at least one reply (starter counts) from each involved party. At the end of the week, the character with the most points will receive a neckpiece featuring foxglove flowers, fashioned by Seraph's Halo herself. During this trial, Choir members will compete to recruit outsiders into the Choir. Recruits must be player characters and have received permission from the roleplayer. When logging a recruit, the roleplayer of the recruited character must respond with confirmation for it to be counted. Each recruit is worth a point, even if they don't join immediately. If they join within the trial's duration, however, you'll receive three points for expertise. Threads do not need to be completed to be counted towards points, but they must have at least one reply (starter counts) from each involved party. At the end of the week, the character with the most points will receive a leg brace featuring tulips, fashioned by Seraph's Halo herself.
