☆ BACKSTORY☆ “Long before our clans existed stood one union clan. This clan was called ElderClan and had cats from all over the forest. ElderClan was a clan in which peace, prosperity, and dreams occurred among cats and settled peace. Unlike other Moonpools, this one was different. The Moonpool was used to harness powers for the protection of the clan. Powers were only given to the skilled warriors, deputy, and leaders. Warriors were gifted either Heartseer, Echohearer, Life-Thread Sight, Guiltmark, and Lieseeker. Deputies will earn either Soul Weaver or Gravemark. Lastly, leaders earn Crown of Echoes. The ritual of harnessing a power is placing a blindfold on a cat, dipping their body in the Moonpool, and the cat themselves will talk to StarClan deems whether they are worthy of a power or not. This ritual is sacred and everything was going completely fine until a deputy became selfish. Rookstar, the leader, was a very wise and kind cat who had a son named Frosttail. Frosttail became deputy after the former deputy died of severe pneumonia. He was the only deputy ever to not gain a power as his father believed he was not ready yet. Frosttail begged his father but he wouldn’t budge and decided he was talking it into his own paws. He went to the Moonpool himself on a starless night, a bad omen, and entered the Moonpool. No one knew what truly happened but he had waken up with a new power, a dangerous unheard one, Shadowpawed. It was a power that was said to be removed from the system but he found a loophole. With Shadowpawed, he could k!ll a cat another cat with just a bite. Every cat feared him as mayhem occurred and division between cats rose, he tortured every single cat. His father begged him to stop but he kept going. StarClan knew this was bad but they could not revoke the power, instead they divided the forest into 4 different clans and banished Frosttail to the Dark Forest. But before they could, he vanished into the forest, never to be seen again. Cats still wondered what had happened but leaders still fear about his arrival.”
