Euphoriakit sat at the back of the leader’s den, gazing out of a small gap in the ceiling towards the star-spangled night sky above. It seemed to shift and sparkle, like a comic painting on celestial canvas. Even as the young kit watched, another twinkling golden light began to fall, leaving a trail of pure stardust in its wake. She gazed up in awe, words and thoughts beginning to fail aria as she took in the beauty of the world around her; the beauty of the stars. Her eyes followed the twinkling meteor through the night sky, stopping only when her view became obscured by the den roof, to Ria’s great dismay. Suddenly very disappointed, she decided that there was no use stargazing from inside a roof when she was perfectly able to slip outside her mama’s den and see the stars from on top of it. As she exited the den, careful not to wake her siblings or mother up, she was so preoccupied with the stars that she tripped over, and landed head first onto the ground, right where a small puddle of water had been forming from the drops of water sliding off of a tree above. Curious as to seeing the stars in the ground, for she had never seen anything that could reflect anything before, she gazed over it, and gasped with surprise. A beautiful midnight black she cat with dark moon markings and a brilliantly fluffy fur stared back at her, and Aria stared at it for a few minutes, awed once more. Suddenly broken from her trance by another falling star, Euphoria looked up… and she noticed the cat staring back at her did as well. Intrigued, she flicked her ear. The cat in the reflection flicked its ear in unison. Realisation suddenly sank in, and Euphoriakit was left speechless, resulting in the reflection stay still once more. This beautiful she-cat, couldn’t be…. And yet it was. “I didn’t know I was so pretty.” She whispered to herself, in a slightly melodic voice. She blushed slightly, and then batted her eyelashes in an innocently entrancing sort of way. The reflection did the same. She spent a few minutes admiring her own beauty, before a bird flew down towards her, a steller’s jay, although Aria knew it as the pretty bird she kept seeing. The bird looked at her, and she looked back, before it flew away once more. Suddenly, an idea struck Euphoria. What if she could find a way to share the joy she was now feeling, as the birds did every morning? She surely could use her new found beauty to make other cats happy, as the birds always did for her. But how could she do this? “Easy.” She meowed out loud, to her reflection. She smiled mischievously, and a wild look filled her eyes. “I think it’s high time someone brought the theatre to MossClan.” [OORP - Euphoria is now incredibly egoistic and has a live if the show]
