As I've said before, i recently finished my first draft of a novel, and I was very aware of the problems with it (two similar characters that couldn't be replaced/combined/deleted, horrible first chapter with necessary but not exciting scenes, etc). I recently also attended a writing conference and took extensive notes and knew immediately how to apply everything I learned to my novel. And now I am facing the very daunting task of changing a character's motivations and intentions for everything, adding in more fight scenes(as the fighting-based culture is the main draw point of the book), and reorganizing how i refer to and explain the worldbuilding. But on the bright side, it all led me to be able to write quotes like this one: "I was unsure exactly why i didn't trust him, but it might have had something to do with the fact that he seemed overly eager to throw sharp objects at me." ...Don't worry they have magic healers I'm not writing an overly violent book Also the writing conference was literally life-changing so I'll probably be a lil less active here between writing and school stuff, especially as May and AP tests approach
Art drawn by me, quote comes from writing written by me
