Eva was not born. She was made. In a factory, from designs, and there were so many others like her. They were in the same packaging, with the same little babydoll dress with a giant button in the middle and tiny shoes, and her iconic bunny ears. Heck, they all even have the same name as her. Eva sounds so pretty...so delicate, until its overused so many times that the letters in the name doesn't even look like it's own damn language anymore. When Eva was thrown in a shopping cart, bought with the single swipe of a card, and brought to a dark house on a quiet hill, she was expecting a nice little girl who would take her to a fancy dollhouse to play in. Instead, she got some creepo lady who- let's just say loves giving free makeovers to pretty dolls. And the before is so much prettier than the after... Eva was scared for her life, because what was a doll who looked ugly? Nothing, she would be worth NOTHING. So as the lady dumped Eva in liquid that shed off parts of her beautiful porcelein colored skin, she attempted to make an escape to the window, the only source of light in the entire house. But unfortunately, the crazy lady saw the doll move, and so, doing what any sane human being would do, stabbed two tiny knives into Eva, one on her head, and one under her knee. They say objects can't feel, but Eva felt that pain burning inside of her more than ever. Grabbing one of the extra tiny knives, she mushed it into the crazy lady's eye and escaped through the tiny gap in the window. The ribbon on the back of her dress got caught in a hook, but eventually made its way around both of her legs and arms. Eva was finally free! ...but she was lost in the forest. Dolls weren't meant to be outside, and yet here she was. Alone. But free. There was no little girl choosing her name or what occupation she would have, or how her day would go. There was no one controlling her. And that was a problem for a doll. They didn't know how to choose. They didn't mind being controlled. Eva realized she didn't even know what she wanted anymore (she didn't know her own self...) And so she had to learn. Learn herself before some other human took control of her. Learn what she liked, what she disliked, her values, her talents, even her own name. But, she still has a bit of trouble choosing now and then (it's in her doll nature.) Can YOU help? ˚✧ ﾟ.desc₊˚✧ ﾟ. Uhh what's a good intro for this desc??? idrk uhh but I just wanna say I had a lot of fun designing eva despite it dragging me into the all-nighter phase. It's currently 3:22 AM as I am typing this AGHGHGH T0T The thing is, when I design a character I have to go all the way, no pauses. That's just my work ethic (I need to start working on stuff earlier so I can get it done earlier T0T) idk but I definetly need to do more moodboard stuff, this was really fun! Whoever creates moodboards are literal angels because wdym you find images that fit perfectly together like this on one board T0T It's literally collaging like moodboarding should be some form of art (maybe it is I'll prob search it up later) Thank you for hosting this contest and providing moodboards Doodle, I had so much fun doing this!!
