!! Theoretically mobile friendly but I haven't tested it !! *** Check out our group's other scratch game: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1286677494/ In this game, you learn facts about the threats that Kākāpō face and how scientists help combat these issues. The player incubates Kākāpō eggs, then hand-rear two chicks to full maturity before releasing them back into the wild. This was my environmental science class project! We made games to teach elementary schoolers about endangered animals (with some other specific educational requirements that I won't go over). I chose to do a scratch game because that's what I'm most familiar with. I also realized that I lowkey suck at coding :( This was a very educational experience for me, because I got to practice my coding skills, as well as get an introduction into drawing in the scratch vector, as I've always been a bitmap fan lol
All art and code by @JohnnyTheChikin (except for the basic scratch egg sprite) Music: Underwater Waltz by Alec Holowka This is VERY WIP and messy because of my project deadline. Still, I hope this is a successful, educational experience for everyone! *** Bugs and fixes: * If all of the eggs merge together when you touch them when weighing them, click the bottom arrow. I don't have time within the project deadline to properly fix it :") Or you can just. Let them merge I guess. It doesn't really cause any other problems! * If the baby Kākāpō are at a weird Y level (below the ground or floating) clicking on it should cause it to glide back down to the correct level. * If an unknown question bar shows up in the starting screen, click the flag again. * If the name you type in during the first stage doesn't register, unfortunately you have to restart the game. Click the flag twice to fully reset the game. This has been a long standing bug and I can't figure out how to fix it :(
