The Scarlet Branch, being formed a little while ago, need a way to provide this care, or the entire organization would be void. Therefore, the respite class medical carrier has been put into commission. They has no weaponry (as that would be a war crime) however they are occasionally accompanied by fighters through deep space. A large portion (~50%) of the Torch fleet will be scrapped to build these ships. 10 Respite-class are immediately ordered and built for any immediate deployments that the Scarlet Branch needs to take part in.
Can hold 20,000 wounded soldiers at maximum. High end medical care, but nothing overly special. ~5,000 medical staff, 2,000 staff to keep the hospital and inside of the ship, and only 1,000 crew to pilot and maintain the ship's functionality.
