"Done," my brother proclaims, handing me back my phone. "All you have to do is decide your username and I'll put in my email." This website seems REALLY babyish. The other websites I'm on a lot aren't so cutesy. "This seems like it could be for elementary school kids," I huff. As for a username, I can't think of anything. And too many good names are taken. Eventually I decide on the name 'snakesong11' and log in. Nothing happens the first week. I scroll through projects and test out drawing on the vector and bitmap tools. Boring, since Krita and Sketchbook are better apps anyway. I log out and don't touch the app for a few weeks after that. Then I get my first notifications, on one of my art projects. "Oh, wow, that looks awesome!" By 'tomatoes_are_fruits.' I respond with a quick thanks and don't think much of it. But she keeps chatting with me. Slowly I begin to like the website. Every day after school I log on again and continue chatting with her. It becomes truly fun. And then I start to branch out and get to know others. Before I know it, I have three, then five, then ten followers. I'm happier than I thought I'd be. I make some actual friends, like Cardinal and Brooke. I chat with them every single day. And they both encourage me to make more projects. So I start posting more often. First some random art projects, then a story. Caged No More, something that'd been sitting in my docs for a while. And I keep on getting more and more popular. Before I know it, I'm writing my thirty follower special. And more and more people start coming into my life. 'MeowMeowMeow212' and 'x_Cloudy_Skies_x' and 'sunblaze22' and 'anenby' all become my friends and we help each other through tough times. They encourage my story and motivate me to do things I normally wouldn't. My story gets more and more popular, and then it's been three months and I've got over fifteen readers. I'm on Scratch every day now. I've got fifty followers, then seventy-five. I'm amazed at how far I've come. I meet more people like 'Melody676767' and 'P5ips' who make me happier and lift my spirits every day. And then I click on my followers page and a big fat 100 sits right at the top. I never, ever expected myself to do this. I never thought I'd get more than...probably 20. But I did, and everyone I mention is changing my life for the greater. I'm the best I've ever been thanks to this community. Now the story that let me meet lifelong friends is coming to an end. More and more people are leaving Scratch, and I'm scared some of these people who I've grown to see as siblings are going next. But every single person I've talked about here has a special spot in my heart. I give a big thank-you to all of them for this opportunity.
