+[ Distant Minds ]+ +--------------------------+ Prologue +--------------------------+ 'Sprouts has been away way too long to just be picking apples, Looey's going to freak out when Dandy stops using him as a toy in the dining hall,' Cosmo thought in frustration, 'Gods! I told Sprout not to go into that dang forest for apples we didn't need!' Cosmo made his way over to a barstool by the counter and sat down, then stood up and started pacing like the worried boyfriend he is. That was the condition he was in when Looey found him an hour later. "O. M. G. Dandy is getting on my nerv— Cosmo?" Looey paused, walking deeper into the kitchen, where his boyfriends spend most hours of the day, "You okay, Darling?" "No!" Cosmo snaps, then immediately changes his tone, "Sorry, no, I'm not okay, I'm worried, Sprout isn't back yet!" Looey stopped walking, "What do you mean he isn't back yet?" he asks carefully. "Its been 3 hours and he hasn't come out of that stupid forest yet!" Cosmo finally turns to face Looey, his usually bright green eyes red from crying. Looey crosses the gap and pulls him into a hug, "Hey, hey, it's fine, he's probably fine, you know him! If he's not back soon, we'll go looking, okay, Mi Amor?" Cosmo nodded into Looey's rubbery skin, wiping his tears away. Sprout was strong; he could handle himself against those... beings. He'd be fine! ~~~~~~~~ "I'm not fine," Sprout whispers for what could only be the thousandth time that hour, the ichor dripping in a path that follows him as he tries to reach the kingdom. "I can't see out of one eye," he laughs without humor, "Oh! And my left hand turned into a claw! Great! I hope Shrimpo puts me out of my misery before my boyfriends see this crap." +--------------------------+ Sprout is indeed, Not fine.
