Oh my goodness! This was so fun! I was suffering from a bit of artists block, so this was a good break. My fav part of drawing is coloring and effects, so this clearly got… carried away. Speaking of which, my friends tell me that anytime I’m not told very specifically what to draw, I take the baton and go running. Flintstar IS in the background… it just so happens to be her barely visible silhouette. I recommend viewing this fullscreen with full brightness, since dark colors can be hard to see at a darker brightness. HOW THIS WAS MADE~~~ - First I drew a sketch of the cats’ poses and then took a picture and imported it into my drawing program (IbisPaintX) - Then, with a very thick brush, I go over that sketch and try to fix any mistakes that could be fixed digitally (i.e. sizing up the head) - I slop some colors in the general places to get a feel for the drawing as a whole - I go over THAT sketch with a thinner, more precise brush. Outside lineart has a thicker style than inside lineart, at about half that size. - I do the base color (even the tail, which is a different color than the base color, is colored) - I add the patterns - Extracurriculars (coloring of the nose, inside ears, mouth, eye, eyebrow, etc.) - I add the wires, then do the blood the wires inflict - sHaDiNg AnD hIgHlIgHtS - da background - Glass shards (four basic shapes and a lot of copy and pasting) - cracked glass - aMbIaNcE - Lettering - Watermark
All art by me :3
