Just press start to read-it’s about three pages long- So I wrote this like the end of May. Originally, I wanted to create another storyline connected OR similar to TLM (The Lost Moon, which was an adventure lore) Over the summer, when I had the most time to read, I read a lot of books that were in first person. All this time I had been writing in 3rd person, I didn’t even realize the things I could do if I wrote in third person. Time passed, and when things started to get busy and chaotic at school, I was like, ‘Wait-I can make a book about a girl at school that has to deal with all this drama.’ Yes, chaos is very common at school, but I felt like this is exactly why I should write it. It’s relatable. So I basically recreated Ria. I made her character bold, rebel-like, and bossy. She was a character who played electric guitar and skateboarded. I used my journal to use personal experiences in the book. I made characters in the book similar to people irl. The main storyline starts as Ria manages friendships with her best friend, Bea, and this group of boys. After she ditches that friend group, she starts making strong one-on-one friendships. Some she keeps secret from Bea to resist conflict because Bea doesn’t always approve of everyone, despite her positivity. Ria sees a poster on the wall, the day before winter break. Her love for music would finally come to use. A music competition. Ria sees this as a huge opportunity. A chance to prove herself. Ria asks a friend for advice. Her friend advices to make a band instead of going solo. Hesitant, she takes the advice and asks Bea, the piano player to join. Over time, she creates her band. Ria developed a rival out of jealousy. She’s jealous because A, Ria’s romantic interest has a crush on the rival, and B, the rival is really good at music. Ria isn’t an empathetic character, so she has to manage keeping the band together, school, and all the drama. I’m trying to explain this in a super bland way because I don’t want to give too much away because the storyline is pretty good in the way that the conflict is relatable and not forced and whatever else :-:
This is a part of my River series lore-I wrote it a few months ago… Also note that Scratch made the quality weird. *I only did this chapter in writing, the rest is typed*
