For those who don’t know the story: when Firepaw arrives at ThunderClan, Graypaw and Ravenpaw quickly become his close friends. The three of them grow into an inseparable trio. However, one day Ravenpaw reveals a dark secret to his friends: during the battle against RiverClan, Tigerclaw, his mentor, had lied by claiming that Oakheart killed Redtail. In truth, Tigerclaw himself murdered Redtail, his own Clanmate. Ravenpaw witnessed the scene, and Tigerclaw forced him to keep it a secret. As time passes, Tigerclaw becomes more and more threatening. Fearing that Ravenpaw might be killed if his secret were discovered, Firepaw and Graypaw come up with a plan: they decide to take Ravenpaw to live in a barn as a loner. Ravenpaw agrees. One night, they escort him to the barn and explain the situation to Barley, the barn’s resident cat. Barley agrees to share the large barn with Ravenpaw, and the two soon become very close friends. Firepaw and Graypaw then return to ThunderClan, spreading the false news that Ravenpaw had died. As time goes by and Ravenpaw lives as a loner, he grows much stronger. He is no longer the thin, frightened apprentice who once lived in fear of his former mentor. Instead, he becomes a well-built, confident cat, finally free from Tigerclaw’s shadow. ‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
