Hi welcome to: Raven Corp out of character talks about Plurality and how it works because I have seen so many misconceptions its crazy and I like informing ppl! Ok? Not inspired by any singular person or inquiries etc. I just got inspired to do this yay yay Being plural is not as rare as you think it is. DID in and of itself has a prevalence rate about as much as red haired people! And this doesn't count the tons of different systems and even systems who don't align themselves with wanting a diagnosis or don't feel like a diagnosis applies to themselves! THERE ARE MULTIPLE WAYS TO BE PLURAL This does not include Endogenic stuff because I am not educated enough on that as a Traumagenic system. But endo hate will get rocks thrown at you we support our endo siblings SOOOO MANY PEOPLE think its just DID (Disassociative Identity Disorder), but there are, at minimum, THREE Disorders that result in Plurality. - DID (Disassociative Identity Disorder) - OSDD-1A - OSDD-1B OSDD means Other Specified Dissasociative Disorder. This doesn't even include the systems who may get a diagnosis of UDD (Unspecified Dissasociative Disorder)!! Every system's experiences vary from system to system; no two systems are alike. For example- one system could have 12 headmates, another could have thousands! We are a larger system [hundreds of headmates due to splitting VERY easily] Every system is different and some need different accommodations, some vary in opinions and it's the most beautiful thing to us. We are dating two other systems (OSDD-1B and another DID system). We love to talk about Plurality, all of the facets of it, the inner-workings, and more. ALSO FICTIVES ARE NOT THAT RARE PLEASE it's especially so common in autistic systems because they frequently indulge in comfort medias to make themselves feel better, which makes their brain think that they could use the characters from that media as headmates to survive. Not to mention, there's some other things I wanna explain! - MPD or Multiple Personality Disorder is an outdated term for DID, and usually I associate it with heavy medicalism and light ableism ok? - Some systems prefer different terms just ask them it's not that hard. Some use Alter, some use Headmate or Brain Buddy or WHATEVER they want! Be nice about it! We prefer Headmate but are fine with anything that ISN'T "Identity" or "Personality" thanks By sharing this, I hope I've explained a lot about things. I can absolutely share more info if needed off of our experiences. We have known we were a system for 4 years now, and we've been one for who knows how long. I love my headmates ok?
