Press F to shoot your revolver or rifle if you have one TUTORIALS AND MECHANICS BELOW On the subject of travel: When the game begins, simply walk into a sign to travel to one of the games locations. The forest leads you to hunting deer. Wildcat trail leads you to a severely underdeveloped (and somewhat lawless) part of the country. You can encounter other people here. The town sign leads you to a town where you can buy food, water and ammo, and sell your pelts. On the subject of your inventory: Press I to view your inventory. Click on the items you see to view the amounts. Wanted poster = your amount of fame. On the subject of fame: Fame is gained or lost by participating in duels. you lose fame by shooting early in a duel and gain it by winning honestly. You can also gain a small amount of fame by not looting the bodies after duels. You can view how much fame you have in your inventory. For more on fame, see Duels (below). On the subject of duels: If you duel a man properly and win (only shooting after they raise their gun up), you get 10 fame, and if your fame hits 50, people will start to fear you and surrender instead of fighting back (they can then be robbed without repercussion). However, if you cheat in a duel (shooting before they throw up their gun), you will lose fame (15). If your fame goes into the negatives (infamy), then you will be hunted by the police. If you duel a man who was nice to you, you will lose 1 fame. On the subject of smoking: Smoking a cigarette grants the benefit of hunger and thirst slowing down drastically. This allows you to go longer without eating or drinking. However, if you smoke too much, your addiction will rise. If you quit smoking, your hunger and thirst will start going up at a faster interval than before you started smoking (the amount of which depends on your addiction level). Packs can be bought at the saloon. On the subject of bandits: The more cash you carry, the more likely bandits are to hunt you. They carry large sums of money if defeated, but it is much safer to avoid them altogether. To learn how to fight bandits, see Duels (above). On the subject of police: If your fame is negative, they can spawn at wildcat trail. If caught, you can either surrender (forcing you to spend time in jail based on your fame), or you can duel them, however, in these duels, you cannot cheat by shooting before they aim (if tried, you will shoot your gun, and nothing will happen). These duels are significantly harder than bandit or regular ones. With either path, your fame will be reset to 0, giving you a fresh start. On the subject on Blackjack: This game can be found in the saloon. It is a little buggy, however it is a great way to make quick cash. The dealer cannot hit, meaning he can only ever have a total of two cards. I may change this soon. Also, once Aces come in as 11, they cannot change to a 1.
