they do so much for us that you have no idea what the job is like
normal a law enforcement officer has to deal with irregular schedules, overworked, demonized by the media, used as a political pawn, exposed to constant trauma, underpaid, lack of mental health resources, job is inherently dangerous, walks into danger willingly, missed holidays, missed birthdays, missed graduation days, missed first steps, missed the births of their own children, and a lot more. that is just to name a few of the things they give up just to help you and everyone else in the public
